Vomited a large amount

So I was just cuddling in bed with dbf and lo was next to us sleeping contently then all of a sudden she started to gag the had a little spit up and woke up. We grabbed the receiving blanket and cleaned it up and I sat her up to help her clear herself and my bf had the blanket by her mouth dabbing her spit off and she let out a huge amount of vomit- milk. It even came out her nose... She has been eating all morning and we have had tummy time and played in her gym but that was before feeding. She has been tough to burp all morning. What can I do to prevent this from happening? Could I have fed her too much? She is 9 weeks old and ebf.

What do you mean by vomit-milk? Spit up with curds?

Lol yea not sure what you mean either but it sounds like she had a bubble and when you sat her up she cleared it and spit up whatever was ontop of it. If this is an isolated incident then I wouldn't worry to much just need to burp a bit more.

My LO does this a lot bc of his reflux. She probably just needed to burp and didn't get to and was just too gassy and needed to throw up. I wouldn't worry too much about it if it was an isolated incident like @kdoak2015 said. If you're worried you can always call her pedi.

As PP said, this happens to us all the time because of reflux. But if this was the only time LO may have just overeat or needed burped longer.
