It's gonna be a long day (see rant)- I'm glad to be kicking it off with some chit chat on here.
How far along are you? 20w5d
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: RANT: My daughter was up countless times in the night with random issues- mainly involving demands for kleenex (but also involved a change of pj's and the declaration that the baby in her belly was also kicking...oh, and ba bah blacksheep singing, although she kept singing "one for Mommy who lives down the boy"). I'm so tired. Not sure if I'll be up for prenatal yoga 6:30-8pm but I think I do need something relaxing and enjoyable right now. RAVE: Still feeling thrilled about yesterday's apt- just a real relief that everything seems perfect thus far. SYMPTOMS: constipation is back, damnit. So I'm uber exhausted, and uber bloated.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Apparently getting used to lack of sleep.
GTKY: Stolen from another board; Does your state or town have any weird or unusual traditions? Hmm-- I may think of something later in the day. I live in Toronto, Canada. It's a fun city and not without its quirks (streetcars still alive and well, our former mayor Rob Ford being an international joke) but I can't think of any traditions right now.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: Tired. And I posted this on the randoms thread yesterday, but I'm ranting about the guy who had the balls to comment on my belly yesterday with the "too many beers" remark. Dude, just no. Rave: I'm meeting up with an old friend for a bit tonight that I haven't seen since in a while Symptoms: I had some shooting RLP last night when trying to roll over in bed. Shit's getting real yo.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Getting the carpets cleaned today, painting baby's room next week. Growing a human.
GTKY: Stolen from another board; Does your state or town have any weird or unusual traditions? My hometown where I'm originally from is on the border of Minnesota and Canada. They have what they call "Icebox Days" every year. You know how a lot of towns have Haydays or their annual county fair? Well this is kind of like that, except the entire town gathers in the middle of winter for outdoor winter activities - one of them being frozen turkey bowling. It was awesome.
Rant: My waterlogged macbook isn't working again, and now I'm quite worried about how much it will cost to fix since the keyboard and the battery seem to be loopy. Ugh. Rave: Finally getting some of that second tri energy everyone keeps raving about. And I might finally be feeling some flutters?
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: I'm exhausted and in a funk. I feel really depressed and just blah. I keep feeling like I'm going to break down and cry at any moment. I just want to go home and veg out watching stupid movies or binge watch something. I'm also sore all over and just crummy.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Going to finish up our registry this weekend and finally clean out the room for the baby.
Questions?
GTKY: Stolen from another board; Does your state or town have any weird or unusual traditions? I live in MD....where we're obsessed with our seafood and Old Ba and there's various "festivals" revolved around it, but I don't really consider that weird or unusual.
@mrsschmity I'm still so shocked he had the balls to say that. And that's he's still alive, lol...
How far along are you? 20 + 5
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant...sleepless nights. All those people who tell pregnant ladies to "sleep while you can" have clearly never tried to sleep pregnant. Rave...today is my Friday, & I have a 4-day weekend. Monday is a holiday here, & tomorrow is just a fluke day off...hooray! Symptoms...RLP, headaches (ugh), & heartburn. Seriously, I can basically look at certain foods at get heartburn.
GTKY: Stolen from another board; Does your state or town have any weird or unusual traditions? I was hoping @SMLmom would have a good answer for this that I could steal, lol. I can't really think of any weird traditions Ontario has...or, maybe everything is just so normal to me now? We do have a holiday on Monday ("Family Day")...I guess that's something. And my town is pretty small, & they don't really do anything out of the ordinary.
@mrsschmity what town is that? We used to drive from Canada through Minnesota a lot in the summers. @Diesel615 I feel like that about work too. I have a very pleasant job- comfy office to myself etc. but right now I totally agree with you that netflix and vegging sounds like an infinitely better option.
@mrsschmity: Ugh, some people have no tact. "Icebox Days" sounds fun!
@catherinekate : Sorry about your macbook Yay for flutters and 2nd tri energy!
@smlmom : Sorry about the lack of sleep, but glad to hear your appt went well!
How far along are you? 21w3d
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: Had
to get up early to drive into work and now I’m super tired and it’s only 8.
Rave: OB appt was short and sweet yesterday. Baby’s HB was a nice 146 and it
sounded like he was moving around a lot in there. I’m feeling him so much now,
it’s awesome! Confirmed with the OB that my rib/back pain is likely from a full
stomach and recommended eating smaller meals (but that is so hard!!) and said
to take Zantac for the heartburn. Symptoms: Heartburn, itchy nips/tummy, tired, feeling mildly nauseous atm...
What are you doing to prepare for baby? More gestating. Talked to DH about signing up for a local “Just
Between Friends” consignment event that’s happening in April, hopefully after
my baby shower. Heard ya’ll talking about it yesterday and it looks awesome!!
GTKY: Stolen from another board; Does your state or town have any weird or unusual traditions? I wish! We just had a chocolate lovers festival this past weekend which I can't believe I missed... I'm sure there are some strange festivals in other parts of the state, but none that I know of in NoVa. Oh, there is a Garlic festival somewhere out there in VA...

@DeePaddy24 yes- I also thought of good old Family Day (actually not old at all- still fairly new- but much appreciated!) what town are you in? I'm from London originally.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Nothing new. Growing and gaining.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? DSs room stil. Also, I have our follow up Level II ultrasound for pics of LOs heart today. Wish us luck!!
Questions? None
GTKY: Stolen from another board; Does your state or town have any weird or unusual traditions? I grew up in a small town in the middle of the city. In a growing metropolitan, my graduating class was only 200. It is a black hole and it is hard for people to leave. My parents were high school sweethearts and still live there. My sister teaches there. My brother still lives there. And we also all feel safe - doors stay unlocked. Everyone goes to Friday night football. And the only "commercial" stores we have are Subway and Dairy Queen. Every summer we have our city days, and the entire town goes. It kicks off with a street dance after the parade.
Did I mention we were a 10 minute drive to St. Paul, and 15-20 to Minneapolis?
@catherinekate Yay for more energy and feeling flutters! @Diesel615 I'm sorry you're feeling so down Hugs to you. @DeePaddy24 Ditto on the sleep comment. I never thought I would have this much trouble sleeping. @SMLmom The town was International Falls! Right across the border from Fort Frances. @BakerBird525 Glad to hear the appt went well yesterday! @NicknShan Good luck at the ultrasound today! And that sounds like a good 'ol Minnesota tradition
@DeePaddy24- cool, I have a colleague from Kitchener and lots of my step family live in those even-smaller towns in the Southwestern Ontario countryside.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: I coughed until I threw up last night. That was swell. And it took me 2 hours to get home yesterday. DS apparently found my hidden stash of pens and colored on the couch which put DH into a grumpy mood last night and today. Ugh.. Rave: It's almost Friday? Symptoms: Heartburn
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Gestating.
Questions? Anyone else getting heartburn from drinking water? I normally have decaf tea on the way into work and by the time I get there have awful heartburn. Today all I've had is a quarter of a banana and heartburn and it feels the same..
GTKY: Stolen from another board; Does your state or town have any weird or unusual traditions? We really REALLY like to deep fry foods and put them on a stick for our State Fair? And we put cheese on everything. It's wonderful.
@mrsschmity - I would punch him. But the Icebox Days sounds wonderful! @DeePaddy24 - Have a nice long weekend! @SMLmom - sorry your daughter is still sick! Hopefully you will all get some sleep soon! @BakerBird525 - Mmm! Chocolate festivals sound wonderful! But wouldn't agree with heartburn right now.. @Diesel615 - Sorry you're feeling down Husband is wearing off and getting me in a bad mood too. Hopefully the weekend will help! @catherinekate - Oh no! Good luck with your MacBook!
@BakerBird525 seems you and I have quite similar appointments on the same days! Let me know how Zantac goes for the heartburn. I'm feelin the burn right now actually. I never found it did much the first time I went through pregnancy heartburn but I'd be willing to give it another shot.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:Rant: So I was feeling better yesterday, until my ear started hurting. So now I have a damn ear infection due to all the congestion from the upper respiratory infection and they won't let me take anything but a nasal decongestant. Rave- Tomorrow is Friday! My step-sons will be at a church lock in tomorrow night which leaves my 9 year old step-daughter who will binge watch something stupid with me and play with my hair so I'm looking forward to that!! DH can go watch something in his room. Symptoms- nothing too much today. Woke up with a neck ache so I might try to sleep snoogle-less tonight and see if that's why.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Nothing much today. Trying to watch what I eat
GTKY: Stolen from another board; Does your state or town have any weird or unusual traditions? The neighboring town has Schutzenfest which is a german hunting festival. I think it used to be better but now there's just a parade, street vendors that come to town and sell funnel cakes and stuff, a huge auction, and a block party but the last few years its been pretty lame. A bunch of the surrounding towns have different festivals like Watermelon Festival, Railroad Days, and my fave, the Cooter Fest (cooters refer to frogs) I MIGHT be from hicktown.
@mrsschmitty Icebox Days sound awesome! @SMLmom sorry your little girl didn't let you get much sleep. Hopefully yoga will leave you feeling refreshed! @BakerBird525 Awesome news about the OB appointment. That's such a good feeling! @NicknShan We'll be thinking about you and praying for a smooth appointment.
@catherinekate Oh no! I hope your macbook is ok @Diesel615 I'm sorry you're feeling so down @DeePaddy24 Yeah for a 4 day weekend! Enjoy it. @SMLmom Yeah for a good appointment!. @BakerBird525 Small meals are hard...I feel like once I get started eating I can't stop...lol @NicknShan Friday football nights sounds like a fun way to hang out with the locals. @mrscchmity - RLP is NOT fun...I'm sorry. @denny+lee - I'm sorry about the ear infection. That sounds awful. Can you take anything for it? @tjenkins528 - Oh no! Can you lift the color from the couch? Also, I've never gotten heartburn from water (unless it was sparking water?).
How far along are you? 23 w, 1 d
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: I feel a cold coming on and I'm not thrilled.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Baby name discussion tonight! Here is hoping H and I don't kill each other.
GTKY: Stolen from another board; Does your state or town have any weird or unusual traditions? I have no idea. We eat a lot of cheese...does that count?
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Rant - I forced myself to stay up last night in hopes I'd sleep through the night and it didn't work. Ugh. Rave - Taxes came in yesterday! We paid off my credit cards and put a chunk in our savings account. Fun stuff. Symptoms - My hips and knees really hurt in the mornings from size sleeping. Other than that, baby kicks and my belly is definitely growing.
Questions? Does anyone else feel baby kicks SUPER low? I swear it feels like this kid is moving around in my vagina....
GTKY: My high school and the high school down the street have a HUGE rival football game in November and the winner gets to take home a cowhide.... they brand the year and the winner on it and it hangs in the winners gym. It's been going on for I think like 60+ years now. It sells out. Ex football players that have played before get VIP lanyards and get to stand on the sidelines to watch the game like it's the damn Superbowl. It's hilarious.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rave: H built the nightstand and crib last night, the room is starting to come together and now I'm starting to look for wall decor inspiration. I'm not sure if putting the baby's name on the wall is too trendy or popular, but I need something crafty to add to the room.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Still have to build the changing table, but I was SO proud of H's patience with building the furniture last night. Sometimes home projects send him over the edge, but yesterday he just was smiling and excited the whole time. So cute!
Questions?
GTKY: Stolen from another board; Does your state or town have any weird or unusual traditions? I live near St. Louis, so most of our traditions have to do with baseball, but we do have a lot of ethnic traditions - French history for Mardi Gras, a huge Irish population for Patty's Day, lots of authentic Italian restaurants on the Hill, etc. It's really easy to get swept up in the holidays, parades and food!
@mrsschmity I'm still in awe of this even happening. People are ridiculous.
R/R/S: my poor H has been in excrutiating back pain for the last two days. Had x-rays yesterday and an MRI tonight, with a follow up tomorrow. They're talking surgery on one of the discs :-/ soooo.....yeah. Since we're already meeting our deductible this year, why not pile anything on there?
preparing for babes: trying to manage the stress of Hs back issues and other random stuff so it doesn't affect baby. That's it for now.
GTKY: the town where I grew up has "Gypsy Days" for the college homecoming every year. HUGE parade, football game, etc. it's fun! Where I currently reside....I'm not sure if we have anything, but we have a huge marathon each May and ESPN Game Day has been here a couple times for our amazeballs football team. That's pretty fun
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Woke up at 4 am to pee and couldn't fall back asleep so that sucked. Plus made me feel nauseous and I have a bad headache.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Went to Target and registered for the goody bag/coupons/discount. Also picked up the laundry basket, waste basket, and hangers for the nursery. It's coming together!
GTKY: Stolen from another board; Does your state or town have any weird or unusual traditions? The area where I graduated high school has an annual celebration named after being located in a huge crater.
DS 9/2/13 was a BFP from an IUI! Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!
@tjenkins528- I don't get heartburn from certain foods, but from over-eating. It doesn't matter if it's water or hot salsa, if it's more than I should have, my body not-so-subtly reminds me.
@mkemommy - Good luck with names! Do you know if you are on the same page with names or are are you way off (one likes unique and one likes classic)?
@crdo - That sounds like the grossest thing ever. How high do they drop it from?!
How far along are you? 21 weeks today!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Back pain and much stronger RLP... fun. Rant: Wore my new maternity pants yesterday and felt like a frumpy mess all day. I'm going to try to do some creative hemming/alterations and see if I can fix them (they are crazy baggy and slide down), but I bought some new ones from Old Navy just in case I f*ck them up. It's a very real possibility as my sewing skills are limited. Rave: Short work day today and so close to Friday!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Eating and growing baby... nothing new.
Questions? Not a question, but thanks to all who answered by sleeping position question yesterday! I added a pillow and did some creative side/stomach sleeping with my body pillow and I would have slept great if our 2 dogs were even remotely cooperative. In hindsight, letting the dogs sleep in the bed was not a good choice, but I just can't say no to those faces!
GTKY: Stolen from another board; Does your state or town have any weird or unusual traditions? I'm from Cleveland area and apparently they are the only ones who celebrate the entirely made-up holiday of Sweetest Day. I didn't know that it wasn't a real thing until I mentioned it in college and my roommate gave me a blank stare. Apparently it was invented by a candy company to fall 6 months after Valentine's Day (convenient, yes?). Where I live now has an Apple Blossom festival every May. I've never been (only been here for a year), but apparently it's a huge deal. Everybody wears pink and green and there are tons of activities for everybody, family oriented or alcohol oriented. We even get that Friday off for work.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rave: I picked out nursery fabric yesterday! Even though we have no furniture, and the room that will be hers is still full of guest room stuff, I finally feel like I've accomplished something in getting ready! Symptoms: So much pressure. LO is sitting super low and her heels are shoved into my cervix all day every day.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? About to start sewing her bedding and other plush accessories while I wait for furniture to be cleared out and more furniture to be delivered.
GTKY: Stolen from another board; Does your state or town have any weird or unusual traditions?
My silly little town is "Home of the White Buffalo" and we have a "White Buffalo Days" event. People in town dress up like they're pioneers and have cowboys and Indians reenactments. The crazy part about celebrating the white buffalo is that this area was home to the very last white (not albino) buffalo, and some asshat from town shot and killed him. Dumb thing to celebrate, but that's small town west Texas for you I suppose...
@mrsschmity I was to come frozen turkey bowling! That sounds like so much fun!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Symptom - I've been getting a cramp in my lower right abdomen, which happens a lot when I walk to and from work. The doctor said it's a normal effect of muscles stretching; I just think it's weird that it's aways in the exact same spot. Rave - We're getting ready to move next week, and my MIL is coming to town this weekend to help us pack. Yay for help!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? I just had my glucose test. I didn't think the drink was as bad as I was expecting it to be. It tasted pretty indistinguishable from orange Hi-C to me. So, not something I would choose to drink 10 ounces of, but manageable to drink without gagging. Definitely keep it refrigerated and pour it over ice if possible.
GTKY: We have one of the larger Oktoberfest celebrations in the country. I didn't go last year, but I'll be looking forward to a beer and a pretzel next fall.
@ahernandez16 - H has STRONG opinions about the name. There are so many naming "rules" in India too (where he is from). Thankfully we are ignoring most of the "rules" but it is still hard to find a compromise.
@Kballew10 - I don't think we are far off in principle on the idea of the name but we are far off in practice. We both want an internationally recognized name that is on the easier side to pronounce BUT H is Indian and I'm Danish-American. Finding a name that fits in both of our cultures is really hard. Especially one that Americans (where we plan on raising our girl) won't slaughter. The one name that we both love that fits in both of our cultures is my first name and I can't imagine having a daughter with my name...I just think it would be weird.
@gray51015 - Ha! We just call her "baby girl" but we need a name...and to not kill each other over it.
@Kballew10: I've never been to see first hand, but I think it's attached to some sort of pulley apparatus that "drops" the possum some short distance slowly over 10 seconds for the final countdown. So, thankfully the poor stuffed thing doesn't just get tossed off a roof and splat at midnight.
@ahernandez16 - YESSS!! She feels super low most days, actually lately it's been uncomfortable even walking. She favors the left side and she just sits there in the front so I feel like there's a sack of flour (that occasionally kicks my v-jay) just hanging out in the front.
How far along are you? 23w3d
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: rants: Nothing today. Today, I am nice. Rave: Nothing either lol. But please send positive vibes...I've got my glucose test Monday and all I crave is sweets so I'm really hoping I don't flunk (is that a thing?) it. Symptoms: So much kicking and movement. and the kicking down on my bottom area hurts...sometimes I'm scared she'll open my cervix with her foot.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Got hubby to agree to paint on Monday as part of my Valentine's day gift AND my Mother in law wants to go buy the dresser so we are moving along! Also, my Mother & sister started filling in addresses to send invites. It's getting very real.
Questions? Is it good for baby to stay low? Do they normally do this?
GTKY: Stolen from another board; Does your state or town have any weird or unusual traditions? I don't know if this is weird but we have a lot of Seafood festivals down south and my favorite one is in this small town called Everglades City. This year it falls on Valentine's day so Hubby and I are pretty excited. Also, there's a local winery down here in Rural SoFla that holds a "carambola stomp" every year. We love that place it sells funky wine flavors like avocado, carambola, mango and passion fruit ones and my family has been going since I was a kid.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: DH is leaving on a business trip today. I live out in the country a little bit and I hate being home alone. I'm convinced I'm going to get murdered or attacked by a bear. Rave: Get to have lunch with some old friends tomorrow and then go get my prenatal spa package (massage, facial, pedicure) that I got for christmas from my aunt. Also the bright side of having my husband gone is that I can get whatever take out I want for dinner without him complaining that its unhealthy. Score! Symptoms: Crazy RLP this morning. I was out and about all day yesterday and by the end of the day my hips and butt were HURTING so freaking bad.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Finally ordered the nursery furniture yesterday. My parents had offered to pay for the crib before they knew my H was insistent on getting a crazy expensive one, but my dad still paid for it (without a single negative word according to my mom which is very unusual for him).
GTKY: Stolen from another board; Does your state or town have any weird or unusual traditions? Well I'm originally from just outside Tampa so I grew up going to Gasparilla every year (pirates take over the city, its pretty drunk and crazy - google it). My current town in Colorado has this thing called the Dam Ducky Derby every year. You buy tickets that correspond with a number (proceeds go to charity or back into the town). Then the people putting it on drop thousands (i mean THOUSANDS) of little rubber ducks that all have a number on the bottom at the dam on our lake and they all race down the fast running creek that goes directly through our little downtown. The collection point is on the other side of town and they collect the ducks and record the winners and what not and the prizes are actually awesome, first prize was like $1500 last year. Some get stuck on rocks and stuff so they send all the volunteer fire fighters in town down the creek after the ducks to free them - its highly entertaining. There's a bunch of restaurants with decks that overlook the creek where you can drink during the race.
How far along are you? 21w6d Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Symptoms: Feeling Braxton Hicks contractions (or rather a contraction) for the first time. Super strange but I guess I'd better get used to it.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Slowly getting started on a nursery and selecting furniture for the baby.
GTKY: Stolen from another board; Does your state or town have any weird or unusual traditions? Only moved to Virginia recently so I'm not aware of any...although I'm sure there are plenty.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: DS is sitting RIGHT on my bladder, when I stand up to go potty I almost pee myself everytime. Rave: My bitchy coworker actually told me this morning that my skin was glowing, totally made my day. But I think it might only be because I actually did my make up today.. -- Another rave, I bought the BEST maternity leggings from Target. Seriously the best things I've worn maybe my entire life. Symptoms: Still have this awesome PUPPP rash. Also have bloody boogers, every. single. day.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? DH and I are going to finally clean out our spare room for baby this weekend! I've never been so anxious to clean
Questions?
GTKY: Stolen from another board; Does your state or town have any weird or unusual traditions? I live in a tiny town, no stoplights, so other than the normal small town parades and carnivals-- no we do have an annual street dance in the summer and they shut down Main Street and have a band and we all dance in the street!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: sleep poorly last night. Just couldn't get comfortable, even with the Snoogle. Rave: I'm excited that on Valentine's Day, my in-laws are taking us out for lunch and then after that, I'm going with my best friend to get ice cream at a super-cute ice cream shop that uses liquid nitrogen to flash-churn the ingredients to custom-make your ice cream. It's called Ices Plain & Fancy--they have a s'mores flavor that is featured right now that I'm jazzed about. And they have boozy ice cream, too...looking forward to the day I will be eligible to indulge! Is it sad that my raves are all food-based?
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Still nothing.
Questions? No
GTKY: Stolen from another board; Does your state or town have any weird or unusual traditions? St. Louis has our own Mardis Gras in the Soulard neighborhood that gets pretty wild. There's a parade (and a pet parade and weiner dog derby as well). We also have a tradition wherein kids are expected to have a joke prepared when they go trick-or-treating. On Halloween there's a giant costume party/contest in the Central West End neighborhood. The foods we are best known for are Toasted Ravioli, authentic Italian food on The Hill (another neighborhood), Gooey Butter Cake, and a kind of pizza that you either love or hate--Imo's.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: rant: I feel like today is never going to end. Several years ago a really horrible thing happened to me on this date and it is just always a long day. I was supposed to go to a v-day party for my moms group, but so many of the kids are sick it got moved to next week. Symptoms: heartburn and being hungry all the time.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Looking at strollers and other big things we need to get/replace for this baby.
Questions?
GTKY: Stolen from another board; Does your state or town have any weird or unusual traditions? I grew up in Columbus Ohio and they have some awesome festivals that I really miss. They have the biggest fireworks show in the Midwest that I really miss going to every year. And the Jazz and rib fest and Latino fest. I think there is a different festival every weekend all summer long in downtown. When I was a teenager I used to volunteer at a place called COSI which is right on the river where they have all the festivals and I would go to all of them. I really miss it. I haven't found any awesome festivals where we live now, although Chicago is about an hour away so I'm sure I could find something there to go to.

RANT: My daughter was up countless times in the night with random issues- mainly involving demands for kleenex (but also involved a change of pj's and the declaration that the baby in her belly was also kicking...oh, and ba bah blacksheep singing, although she kept singing "one for Mommy who lives down the boy"). GTKY: My town has a swan parade...
@mrsschmity Wtf at that guy. I am so sorry.
@SMLmom Glad everything went well at your appt! Hopefully you sleep well tonight!

@Diesel615 I feel like that about work too. I have a very pleasant job- comfy office to myself etc. but right now I totally agree with you that netflix and vegging sounds like an infinitely better option.
@catherinekate : Sorry about your macbook
@smlmom : Sorry about the lack of sleep, but glad to hear your appt went well!

Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: Had to get up early to drive into work and now I’m super tired and it’s only 8. Rave: OB appt was short and sweet yesterday. Baby’s HB was a nice 146 and it sounded like he was moving around a lot in there. I’m feeling him so much now, it’s awesome! Confirmed with the OB that my rib/back pain is likely from a full stomach and recommended eating smaller meals (but that is so hard!!) and said to take Zantac for the heartburn. Symptoms: Heartburn, itchy nips/tummy, tired, feeling mildly nauseous atm...
What are you doing to prepare for baby? More gestating. Talked to DH about signing up for a local “Just Between Friends” consignment event that’s happening in April, hopefully after my baby shower.

@Diesel615 I'm sorry you're feeling so down
@DeePaddy24 Ditto on the sleep comment.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Rant: I coughed until I threw up last night.
@DeePaddy24 - Have a nice long weekend!
@SMLmom - sorry your daughter is still sick! Hopefully you will all get some sleep soon!
@BakerBird525 - Mmm! Chocolate festivals sound wonderful! But wouldn't agree with heartburn right now..
@Diesel615 - Sorry you're feeling down
@catherinekate - Oh no! Good luck with your MacBook!

@mrsschmitty Icebox Days sound awesome!
@Diesel615 I'm sorry you're feeling so down
@DeePaddy24 Yeah for a 4 day weekend! Enjoy it.
@SMLmom Yeah for a good appointment!.
@BakerBird525 Small meals are hard...I feel like once I get started eating I can't stop...lol
@NicknShan Friday football nights sounds like a fun way to hang out with the locals.
@mrscchmity - RLP is NOT fun...I'm sorry.
@denny+lee - I'm sorry about the ear infection. That sounds awful. Can you take anything for it?
@tjenkins528 - Oh no! Can you lift the color from the couch? Also, I've never gotten heartburn from water (unless it was sparking water?).

@NicknShan PLEASE LET US KNOW HOW IT GOES!!
@DeePaddy24 have a great four days off! Rest and relaxation!
@diesel615 I really need to get to the East Coast. I LOVE seafood!!!
@nicknshan Good luck at your appointment today. Let us know how it goes!
@mrsschmity frozen turkey bowling sounds hilarious.
@BakerBird525 the Just Between Friends sale comes my way in March. I am super excited as well!
@mkemommy good luck with the name game. H and I almost killed each other too... the ONE time he wants to have a strong opinion about something. Psh.
@denny+lee I am terrified of frogs. So a cooter festival might be my actual worst nightmare. Sorry about the ear infection. Those blow.
@NicknShan: Hope the level II goes well!
@BakerBird525: Glad to hear you had a good appt!
Commiserating (Idk how to spell that...) with all y'all who are tired and didn't sleep well. Ugh.

GTKY: Stolen from another board; Does your state or town have any weird or unusual traditions?
There's a town a little ways away that has a.... (drum roll)...Possum Drop every NYE instead of a Ball Drop. Yep, they drop a stuffed possom.
how far along?

@NicknShan Update us on the u/s!
How far along are you? 20w1d
Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!
@Cataherinekate - How does one get swans to parade?
How far along are you? 24+5
@nicknshan I hope you get good results today!
@mkemommy H and I can't agree on a name to save her life, when we refer to her in conversation or text it's always "she who has not been named"!

Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Rant: DH is leaving on a business trip today.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Symptoms: Feeling Braxton Hicks contractions (or rather a contraction) for the first time.
I live in a tiny town, no stoplights, so other than the normal small town parades and carnivals-- no
Edited to add more raves and symptoms
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
rant: I feel like today is never going to end.
