WTS Sunday

Since we don't currently have a weekend bitchfest.... I'm bringing in What The Shit Sunday...

Just got a phone call from the fiancé, mind you it's currently 5:30 in Colorado, who is supposed to be at work at 4:30 in the morning, that he was in an accident this morning... Thankfully he is fine but, his car sadly is not. So I'm so glad he is okay, especially since the last car accident we have in our heads was last Monday during our snowstorm when one of his bosses left work early because his wife was in labor, got in an accident, and passed away. So of course that sits in my head. Now all I can think about is how much worse this could be and I'm up...

  • I'm so glad he is okay! What a tragedy about his boss.

  • Yeah it was really sad. I didn't know the guy but I cried, I would have cried if not hormonal. All I could think about is what if it were the fiancé. I know I should be thanking the universe that it was just his car but, having the crap scared out of you is not a good wake up call
  • I am also glad he didn't get hurt, this is always my biggest fear when DH heads to work! I got a call not long ago at 530am saying he hit a deer, thankfully everything was ok but now I'm always awake until he says he made it!
  • Normally I wake up when he leaves around 3:30, and stay up until he gets there which is about an hour drive. Last night, I got to go dancing which this mama to be needed, so I didn't wake up when he left and while it was just a coyote, going 75+( yay speed limits in northern CO) will do some damage. I hit a deer back in September, at 2 am coming home from work, and that did some big damage even though I was going 5 under the speed limit, and he gave me some grief about how it would be my luck to hit a deer when nobody else is on the road, at 2 am. Now we have both done it with different animals. His is way worse body damage though. Mine sucked because we had just gotten my car in late June.
  • So i had headaches for weeks first trimester and with my last kid I had them from weeks 16-21. Well those fuckers are back and I hate it! I go to bed with a headache and wake up with a headache. Nothing helps.
  • @Taymiller I feel you. These headaches are terrible. Paracetamol is doing nothing. I've got one so bad atm that it's making me dizzy. I'm about to have a strong coffee and hope DH will being me home take away.

  • Ugh I was up all night with a damn headache too.. I finally took some  tylenol at about 2am..helped only a little still have it today ugh..
  • @Taymiller the headaches are awful! The water/caffeine combo can be helpful but sometimes can't touch it. Eating helps sometimes too. Or sitting in the shower with the water pounding on the back of my head.
  • Headaches here too. Tylenol doesn't touch it, so I have to have Excedrin Tension Headache. But it has caffeine, so I cannot use that as pain management after a certain time, or I cannot sleep. So the only thing that helps at that point, is putting an ice pack on the back of my head/neck and laying down.

I would talk to your OB about the headaches. I did at my last appointment and got a pregnancy safe prescription that has helped A TON. I was having headaches for days on end with no relief.
