Time to get off the mini pill for new baby?

So, this is my first time posting on the bump. I am currently on the mini pill and EBF my LO, however my husband and I wanted to start trying to have a new baby around May... I was wondering if I should stop taking the mini pill soon? I'm not even sure if I would get my period yet because I am EBF but I don't want my babies to be to far apart and I heard it takes a while for your period to become regular too! Any advice?

I don't use the mini pill so no advice there but I did hear breastfeeding is only a reliable birth control the first 6 months of EBF. I hope everything works out and keep us updated on any new baby news!

To be honest, it is different for everyone I have had some friends that got off the pill and got pregnant couple months after. I also have a friend that got off 1 1/2 years ago and still no baby. I have heard that it takes awhile for it to get out of your system BUT I think it depends on your history, age, body, etc. If I were you, I would start doing natural things as well and prep your body for another one like no alcohol, caffeine, eating healthy, exercising, things like that and also getting off the pill. Excited to here what happens!

That is completely untrue. People who breastfeed & don't use another form of protection could get pregnant before the 6th month just the same as someone who doesn't breastfeed. It's not protection. That's why physicians put you on the pill in the first place. Check with your doctor if you are hesitant.
