Mom's of Toddler Boys..

This is probably a stupid question.. what do you do when your ds no longer wears onsies?  Mason only wears them to bed, for an extra layer, but I don't like the look of a button up or polo with just bare skin under it, peaking through.  What do you do?  I was thinking I should go pick up some undershirts.

  • Tillman has some little t-shirts.  He has a gray one and a white one.  The white one has trains on it, but under a sweater or polo, you can't see it.  Tillman has never really worn onesies, though.

  • Has he outgrown his onsies or are you looking for something more "grown up"?

We still wear a onsie everyday as I'm a big beleiver in always wearing a t-shirt.  I like that they stay tucked in with a onsie.  :)

Get this... I found a shirt that snapped like a onsie for ME a few years back.  It was a basic white tee shirt like shirt.  I LOVED it since it stayed tucked in all nice all day.  lol

  • I completely know what you're talking about!! Carter's sells plain white onesies in 24 months...therefore Jacob is still wearing them :)

I also hate that look with the bare skin underneath :(

  • Mason is in 24 month onsies right now.. I am thinking more of under polos or button up shirts, as he is outgrowing these onesies.  I think I will just pick up some undershirts in a 2T from Carters.

  • I felt the same way, but I just gave up.  He wears regular shirts now pretty often.  I try to make sure they're big enough that they dont' show his belly all the time.

ahh... well, Ben doesn't wear button down shirts really.  And polos, I just button up except the top button, so it's not like he's showing off his man chest.  :)

  • I found cheap white and navy t-shirts at the gap outlet and we use those.  I think I ended up getting them for under $5 each.  I always seem to find cheap tees at Children's Place too and will sometimes use those but they generally have designs on them so they don't always work, depending on the shirt. I hate the bare skin look too!
