Why can't grocery store workers bag my stuff with any sort of forethough?! I separate it all out on the belt and somehow I still get cleaners next to my bananas, a jar of jelly squishing my bread, and a wet frozen bag next to a cereal box. Ugh, come on people!!
Because they get paid minimum wage at a thankless job. It's hard to care about the quality of someone else's groceries when you can't even afford to buy your own. I've been in their shoes before which is why I always bag my own. Plus, I'm one of those assholes who brings cloth/reusable bags and it's just easier for me to bag them myself.
You know doctors and nurses also think that they are not paid well enough. Do you really think this kind of mentality will excuse them from making a mistake with you or your baby?
You really think it's fair to compare a minimum wage job that MIGHT smash a loaf of bread (which btw is still completely edible) to a dr who gets paid a tad more than minimum wage to take care of human lives? A dr has 8+ years of training and a bagger has 1 day of training, if that. If those are the kinds of Drs you go to, I really hope for your sake you don't name your baby Apple.
Went to our newborn appointment today and little bug has jaundice. Watching my darling in a blue light at the hospital wad nor what I wanted out of my day.

Were you not able to do treatments at home? My little guy had jaundice and we were able to rent a machine (Bili blanket( and do treatment at home for a few days. Sucks your LO has to be in the hospital hope it's cleared up quickly!!
Insurance will pay for hospital and our Dr felt it would be better if we were here since she wasn't eating or pooping. My poor little bug was not a happy camper. She is perking up now.
Regarding the whole bagging bit, I get the frustration when you line up all your items in a logical "bagging" order and still somehow you have bagged nuts in your freezer bag and all your meat ends up in your regular non-insulated bag. It's also extra frustrating for me because my fiance, who refuses to let me do anything alone for fear I may go into labor (we live sort of out of town) makes me feel like I'm being pushy and "rude" if I try and bag the groceries myself. His argument is they're not making any money and they're probably stoned, etc. OK I get that, but I worked at a grocery store for 2+ years and was taught how to bag when they needed help in the front. I hate justifying poor work ethic because someone is pissed about their income...I made $8/hour packing take-out and still put a ton of pride into my work because I liked to do a good job. Unfortunately, money doesn't grow on trees - it grows on good work performance and raises.......

Same responsibility applies to both. You noticed the relation of a pay level and duration of training, but missed completely what I actually wrote - both think that they are underpaid. And WTF is with Apple?
