Hello,
My little guy made his entrance on Jan 5th weighing 4.5 kg!
My little breech baby made quite the entrance. The c section didn't go to plan. I reacted to the spinal which firstly went up too high and tanked my blood pressure at one point to just under 50/20. This meant I was in and out of being fully lucid. They kept giving me something to get it up and then it would drop agian. The baby was big and wedged his head right under my ribs so they really struggled getting him out and when they did he was very bruised up from it.
I thankfully had my most clear moment as he came out and got to hold him skin to skin which was amazing. However shortly after his arrival my uterus wasn't contracting properly and I started losing a lot of blood. I lost around 2.35 liters of blood and it caused for a very chaotic theatre. They got it under control and when I came out of theatre they put the baby straight on my boob and he fed for a whole hour.
The whole after is a little blurry but I ended up having a blood transfusion.
We did 4 nights in hospital due to a few breathing thing with baby and my blood loss. However after day 2 we both felt so much better.
Baby has been feeding like a trouper and sleeping faboulously! While it was far from the delivery I had hoped for if is all a thing of the past now he is here safe and well!
I feel like I have been challenged more than ever before getting and through the pregnancy but holding him it just all seems to have disappeared.
I want to wish all the rest of the Thrid tri ladies who have gone through this pregnancy on here together a safe and healthy delivery! I really am so thankful for your support and encouragement it hasn't been easy but so worth it!
