I've been meaning to post this for awhile but never get around to it. There is actually a simple way to not have QBF most of the time. I speak some HTML from blogging for years so that is probably how I figured it out. But I took screenshots to make it easier to understand how to do it.
1. Click the button that looks like this: </>. It will say "Toggle HTML view" when you hover over it.
2. Make sure your curser is after the part that says </blockquote> and after the <br> if there is one (<br> is a line break).
3. Start typing. When you click back on the </> to get out of the HTML view, you should no longer be dealing with typing in a quote box.

Didn't say you can't do that. Just trying to be helpful since I know it bugs me when it happens to me. Figured someone would find the information helpful.

On the one hand, I dislike it because I can no longer lord my own html skills over those quote-box-challenged bumpers I keep seeing, but on the other, I am looking forward to not having to read so many misleading and confused posts.
I would add that it's easier just to type your whole post in html, rather than toggling between them.

Re: How to Fix a Quote Box Fail
It's just way easier for me to write QBF
