Small Subchorionic Hemorrhages?

I had my U/S at 9 weeks and 2 days. I got to hear the heartbeat, and take home my little picture. Then yesterday my doctor tells me that the technician noticed I have small Subchorionic Hemorrhages around the outer sac. She said not to worry, blah blah, but I'm just curious to see if any other mothers had this issue and what happened and so on. Being a FTM, I'm kinda worried when I know I shouldn't be, just looking for some guidance, feedback etc.

Search is your friend. I don't have one, but many of the bumpies do. There was a long thread a few pages back on them.

I was diagnosed with a small SCH in the ER at 11wks. They gave me little to no info and my Ob never got back to me with details: size/location. I spent 11 days on strict bed rest. On Sunday I had a really big bleed while passing a BM. It was terrifying, looked like a period but more watery followed by a dark wine colored small clot and cramping. I was devastated. On Monday I saw my Ob and had an u/s where we saw the heartbeat but She didn't feel comfortable giving me details about the SCH bc I was seeing a specialist on Tuesday. Saw him and he said it was gone! I'm truthfully a bit skeptical that it went away so quickly but maybe it was small enough that the bed rest did the trick.

I'd say take it incredibly easy if you can - bed rest if possible. I have a 2yo and it was christmas so no easy feat but now that it's gone I'm grateful it's behind me. Also drink a ton of water. I joined a support group on Facebook with a lot of knowledgable women (just search subchorionic hematoma support group). Do not Google. That sent me over after my bleed. When is your next u/s? I hope your ob plans to monitor you or send you to a specialized tech or 3d tech to look at it. & if you bleed definitely call in to ezplain what it looks like, they'll tell you how to handle. Best of luck!

I'm 13 weeks, and went to the ER today because I started to have heavy bleeding with prune-sized clots. No cramping, but I thought for sure I was having a miscarriage. U/S showed a large subchorionic hemorrhage, but baby looked great. Dr called my OB, who said I needed to go on bedrest until I see him Monday. There's nothing they can do but wait and see. My mom and several friends have dealt with them, and everything turned out fine in the end. Of course it still doesn't help the anxiety now!

I don't have my next ultrasound until 9 weeks from now. She said they're small and multiple. I've had no bleeding at all so far, just a little bit of cramping or discomfort here and there. I will look up that support group though. Thank you! And best of luck to you two as well! ❤️
