What do you do with your LOs? Mine loves to be held and loves to be in the wrap. I spend 3-4 hours a day wearing him... But I am starting to get sick of it! He has a bouncer that he likes sometimes, and a boppy pillow that he will sit in, but he doesn't last long in those. He will also only nap in the carrier usually, which is strange because he sleeps fine all night in his pack and play.

I love my boy, but I am ready to get him off of me. Any suggestions?
I usually give her some time in the swing or a floor mat jungle gym where she can kick around and look up at the hanging toys. However these two only last maybe 15-30 mins at a time with the swing being more useful as she tends to last longer in there. Otherwise it's a mix between holding her, tummy time, or just laying on the bed talking or looking at toys that light up or make sounds. Pretty much most of the time she's awake she consume 100% of my attention for the most part minus the swing.
DD1 hated being worn. She loved being in her swing, bouncer, anything independent of me. She's the same way two years later My little Miss Independent. LO loves being on mama and can't handle being in a swing or bouncer longer than about 3 minutes and I better not leave her sight lol. I bought the carrier this time around because having a toddler makes just holding her all day impossible but I would've needed it whether she was my second born or not!
Our LO loves the floor jungle mat or if i'm doing laundry(its usually a weeks worth at a time) i'll bring it all to our room and lay him on the bed so we can talk and fold. We also just got the fisher price rocker chair that vibrates and has a detachable toy bar he's been pretty amused w/that as well.
We just purchased the "Sit Me Up" by Fisher-Price and it's amazing! LO hates the swing unless already passed out, hates tummy time, and struggles with being on the playmat u less 1.5-2 hours after eating due to reflux. Since she's more alert now and enjoys looking around, the Sit Me Up is a complete game changer! Way more support than the Boppy, she's just too small for that now. Sit me up allows her to sit up, look around, play with toys attached or attach your own! $39.99 at Target and Babies R Us.

Thanks! I'll check it out. LO has reflux too and I think that's why he loves being in the carrier. It keeps him upright.
My LO loves her play mat jungle, so we bought her another one for Christmas that allows her to play piano with her feet! She loves anything with lights and music and likes to look at the ceiling fan

@Cmoniga does baby need to hold head up on their own for this seat?
@danixbanani24 yes they do. We have one from DD1 but LO isn't ready for it yet. She's just over 2 months. I'd say it's usable by 3.5-4 months depending on your LO's neck control.
@danixbanani24 it's definitely better if they have some neck control. My LO is only 10 weeks and manages very well in it. The chair basically closely surrounds the child so it holds them up pretty well. In comparison I put her in the Bumbo and she flops over to the side. She has decent neck control but still is a bit floppy when tired. This is her in the Sit Me Up if a photo helps!
I got a bouncer from a garage sale that he likes sometimes. My parents just got him a super intense playmate that he is crazy about. I can't wait till he's old enough to sit in the Bumbo. When do you know they are ready? My LO has always had good neck control. Still a little floppy when tired. He is 10 weeks. Do I just stick him in it and watch him? I think he would loooove to sit up.
I love the sit me up! I never thought my LO would be able to just sit and entertain herself for twenty to thirty minutes at a time, but its happening thanks to this!
@dwaldrop I just stuck my LO in the Bumbo to check it out! It says 6+mo on the box but I've seen other babies in them so I wanted to check it out. I have the Bumbo with the tray attachment. It did not work well. She slumped over to one side and was very uncomfortable. So I bought the Sit Me Up for the time being! Id say just take it out and try it! I've seen other October babies in the Bumbo and they look fine! So I guess it depends on their weight, height, build, neck control, etc.!
@Cmoniga thanks! I tried last night. I have one with a tray too but it detaches. he did ok. i stayed next to him and had my hand near his head just in case it got wobbly. i think he liked it. he was a little confused. his chubby legs were kind of squished in there. hehe.
Re: For those of you who DON'T "baby wear"....

That has become our go to gift for new parents.
