So a while back there was a thread on when ur EDD is and then when u think ur guna give birth - soooo just curious to know were any of you right with ur gut feelings?
Seeing as my LO is stubbornly still unborn I can say I was off by thinking I may be early - but my next guess is this Friday. ..
Also way off! DD2 is my other early bird, and I had a very strong feeling that she would come early. I didn't have anything like that with this guy, so I thought for sure that he would be late...probably a week or more like DD1 and DS1. I was actually kinda thinking he might be born today (would have been 11 days late) but he came 5 days early instead.
I guessed 11/29-11/30 and had to be induced 11/23. I had lost my plug and had my show the second week of November and was having contractions when I arrived to be induced. So I wouldn't have made it to my guess date anyway.
I was pretty close. My scheduled c section was for 11/30 and DD was born 11/26. I guessed I wouldn't make it to the 30th only because my son was born 2 weeks early. The 30th would've only been 5 days before my due date.
I thought she would be a week early. By she came right on her Christmas Eve due date. My husband was dead set she would be her due date though, he even almost guessed the time! He was 11 minutes off. Daddy's intuition won there!
I said DS would come early, and he did- at 39+3. I had a membrane sweep, but since they don't work if your body isn't already ready, I think he would have come early or right on time anyway. I was glad I changed my mind and stopped working at 38+5 rather than 39+5.
Had a gut feeling baby would be born on or right before Thanksgiving (EDD 12/8). Low and behold I got an unplanned induction the evening of 11/20 and he was born 11/21 - five days before Thanksgiving.
I thought within 4 days of EDD but DS was 7 days late and only got motivated 13 hours before my scheduled induction.
I was right about size though. I called just shy of 9lbs and baby was 8lbs 15.5oz and I said 21 inches and baby was 21.75 inches. Apparently, research says mother's intuition can be surprisingly accurate regarding size of baby.
@TomekiaB It's funny, I have literally NO feeling about size. I don't think she'll be tiny (and doc sort of confirmed that) but she could be anywhere from 8-10 lbs and I wouldn't be surprised. Ditto length. The only thing I'm fairly certain of is that she's going to have a big ol' head! Both my husband and I do. Lucky me.
I was off.. Our EDD was 12/11 and I guessed LO would be early (12/4). She came after EDD 12/13 and I ended up having a c section which we didn't expect. I imagined we'd have an 8 pound baby, but she was 7 lbs 5 oz.
Way off. I thought for sure I'd go right up until my due date, maybe a week early if anything. I was 6 weeks early. Delivered on 12/16, original due date was 1/24.
So so wrong. I think i guessed like five days early on the 18th...maybe i guessed the 16th? I can't remember. Either way, DS decided to come 3w 5d early on Nov 27th. Totally his own plan.
I thought a week or two late. I gave in and let MD induce when I was a week over so I was right. Everyone. Thought I was crazy at work when I wasn't getting to excited near my due date. I kept telling everyone I thought this kiddo would be late.
Re: How accurate were ur feelings??
guessed: dec 18
Born: dec 16
DS2: EDD- 09.08.17
He was born at 41+6
