Congrats on a boy! We are really into old fashioned names. My husband names my son Oswald, but we call him Ozzy. Cutest little Ozzy around. We get lots of compliments on Ozzy since not many know his formal name. I third nameberry. There's some great name lists on there, too!

We are having a boy too. I wanted to name him Christopher Anthony, but my husband is a Michael and wants the baby to have his first name, so we are going with Michael Christopher. I chose Christopher to honor my best friend and cousin who passed away 9 years ago.

DD goes to preschool with a twin named Leif. But his brother is Blake.

We have briefly discussed a boy name prior to getting KU. We both agreed but DH is now saying no. But he won't talk names until we know the sex. I have a list of names that I like left from DS. I've added a few as I've shared for others. I wouldn't use all of them just because of our last name but they are all great names.

@theatremandy yup! They pronounce it like leaf though. But I have known two others Leifs that pronounce it Lay-f like you. My brother actually named his turtle after one of them when he was little lol.

I'm dead set on Jackson for the first name if we have a boy. Lol. Not sure why, but I really like the name. If I get my way, it would be Jackson Ellis or Jackson Ethan.

I loved both babble.com/baby-names and nameberry.com for names!  Babble has a lot of unique ones and nameberry has a lot of articles where they categorize names.

I dont know if you care about common or not, but Jackson is super high right now, it was 17 in 2014 and i would imagine once 2015 comes out, it will be higher. If you want to check the SS site tells you how many SS cards they issued with each name: https://www.ssa.gov/oact/babynames
