Contractions after stopping pro cardia

STM and I'm 35 weeks yesterday and my dr pulled me off of pro cardia on Tuesday of last week. I was on it from 26 daily. Starting Thursday I've been getting these random contractions that actually hurt and last about a minute. I still get the usual tightening and Braxton hicks that make my stomach ball up weird but these are different. They are intense period like cramps as well as tightening of the belly. It started out just 3 then the next day 5 then yesterday it was 10. Just wondering is this how it starts? I'm aware that we can be in early labor for weeks. Currently no blood or extra fluid. I was induced with my first so I didn't have any of these with DD.
