Can you get pregnant right before your period?

I had some cramping and bleeding so I had an ultrasounds last week and today and found that everything is fine. However the scan today showed that I am 7w1d.. however that would mean I got pregnant the first day of my last period. Is that even possible? or is the dating maybe wrong? My last period was 2 days late, and Im never late, so maybe that's why? Im confused.

Could your last period have been ovulation "breakthrough" bleeding instead?  I have heard some women will spot/bleed at ovulation, though I have not experienced it myself.

So you're actually not pregnant for the first two weeks
