This may make me a bad person but I hate to have my friends with kids over to my house. It is the most stressful thing in the world to me.
At the same time, it stresses me out to go over to friends' houses, especially those who aren't babyproofed (either with older kids or no kids at all). My parents' house especially stresses me out because NOTHING is safe!

I LOVE to wear maternity jeans/pants because they are so comfortable and can not understand women who squeeze themselves into their pre-pregnancy pants their whole pregnancy and swear a belly band works for them.

I have maternity jeans.....and I do wear them, but I still wear my pre-pregnancy jeans with a belly band AND a button extender. My cute maternity jeans that don't "look" like a maternity jeans keep falling off, and the maternity jeans that stay up well are plane jane "mom" jeans from target.....I am still needing fond that pair of jeans that looks cute, AND fits.....lol.

Yes, so we just stay home or meet at the park. Haha
I hate lavender. It's in like everything recommended to help me sleep or relax or whatever but I can't stand the smell. The only lavender thing I like is the Johnsons baby bedtime lotion....which I just used....which reminded me that I hate lavender
I get caffeine through other sources like chocolate and Diet Coke (gasp!).
Until I met my husband, I was the same way. Found out my grandfather was as well when I was about 16 and he took me to a grocery store. We found we both would always go down the coffee aisle just for the smell.
But then my husband corrupted me as well as night time jobs, where we met. He drinks it so strong that it can peel the enamel from teeth. I have to do cream and sugar, sorry.
This might or might not be a UO but I am so effing tired of hearing about the Starbucks cup. Like every other post on FB is about it. Seriously it was never religious and people are freaking out because they took the snowflakes off. If you don't like it don't go there.
I have another. I just got a lecture about ordering a club sandwich. People need to mind their own business. I personally think things to avoid are blown out of proportion. It's not like I am eating lunch meat every day. You don't know me.
UO or not, pregnancy suuucks! I hate it. I'm sick THE WHOLE TIME! (This is my second) I know it's worth it but I can't wait for this part to be over.
Ps I love feeling movement but that's about it.
You're not alone

Ok, here goes nothin. Glamour Magazine named "Caitlyn" Jenner as "Woman of the Year". That's a man. So can GQ pick a woman for "Man of the Year"? Yes, I put quotations around his name because that's Bruce Jenner. What's the deal? ETA if it's not apparent my UO is that that's wrong.

I don't exactly see Glamour Magazine as the be-all, end-all in authority on person of the year IMHO. But yeah........
I don't either and honestly don't even read it. Just happened to see news coverage on it and that's what set me off. This will get national media coverage. There are a million much more important things than a man who decided he wanted to be a female and whatdoyaknow got to extend his 15 minutes of fame just like the rest of that family. Smh America.

THISSSSS
I personally am pro gay pro trans pro (most) everything....but this is just DUMB. Bruce Jenner is 100% doing this for attention. I seriously think he changed genders to avoid getting arrested for KILLING SOMEONE. Even if it was legit, he's been a woman for like 6 months and has done nothing to warrant being woman of the year. SO many awesome people got turned away for someone who woke up after like 60 years of life and decided to stir the drama pot.
I don't know if this is exactly an unpopular opinion or not, but it seems to be trending that way. I don't care if my food is organic or where it came from. I shop at farmers markets in the summer to support local farmers but that's about it. All of this all organic, non-gmo business is fine but cannot sustain our country. Food supply will drop, prices will skyrocket, and people will need to learn to self-sustain (grow & raise their own food). Living on a farm, I just get frustrated when people make uneducated decisions and don't research what they preach.
March 2016 Moms: January Siggy Challenge "Pregnancy Problems"
@jmathi0149 I cannot agree more. I eat a lot of smoked salmon and salmon gravlax (cured). Both are frozen first (my docs suggestion). There was a big listeria incident here in the 80s so it's on everyone's mind when they see pregnant ladies eating stuff but it was caused by potato salad... who would have thought "hmm I'm not going to eat potato salad because it might make baby sick".
I get comments all the time and just remind people that there hasn't been a smoked salmon related incident in years where there was a spinach one a few months ago - am I going to stop eating salad? Uh my mom gets on me about this.

There was a great article or opinion piece on this by a woman who said Caitlin Jenner can't understand what it's truly like to be a woman. Of course I can't find it now but it hit the nail on the end. Basically said you can say you identify as a woman but you've never had to deal with the biology (like being pregnant). I think it's great that he felt able to make this big change but there are so many women who would deserve this honour more.
@ecwk my husband can't understand why I don't like the sonicare. It takes too freakin' long. And when I have morning sickness/gag reflex like no other, that doesn't help the matter at all.

I'm not that excited about the new Star Wars movie. My husband would be so upset to hear me speak those words out loud.
I liked the original three when I saw them as a kid, don't get me wrong, but I honestly hated the last three that were released more recently. I will see the new one eventually, for sure, but I don't have high hopes. And I have zero interest in seeing it in a theater...

So women who have never been pregnant don't know what it's like to really be a woman? That's crazy. I think naming Caitlyn Jenner as woman of the year is silly, but not because she's "not a woman". I agree that there are a lot of women who deserve it more. I think she's done a big thing for the trans community and can see her receiving awards for that, but not necessarily for Glamours woman of the year. Not that I care who Glamours woman of the year is.
But I think it's nuts to say she's doing it for attention, you'd have to be a crazy person to do that. I may not be a fan, but I feel for her having to live her life in secret for decades. My father in law has had a similar experience in his life, and I think it's hard enough to live like that for so long without people questioning your motives. She identifies as a woman, and is living her life as a woman, and I certainly don't see anything wrong with that. If you do, I hope none of your loved ones need to rely on you for support for something like that in their lifetime.
Ok, maybe this is one then. I tend to not complain about by husband to anyone but my husband. For one, it's kind of counter-active imo to complain to others. If I complain to him then he can fix the problem. Second, I always hate hearing alllllll the problems someone has with their SO. Every now and then ok, whatever. But when you never (or only once in a blue moon) say anything good/nice about him it seriously makes me wonder why you're together. I think this kind of works for people in general though. I'd rather tell someone I have a problem with them upfront rather than everyone but that person. I can't smile to your face and pretend to be your friend if I don't actually like you at all.

My UO is that I don't think it's a big deal when people say "natural birth". I had epidurals with my previous 3 births. I had a vaginal birth, but I would not call it "natural birth" (simply because I know what it implies). I am not offended by people who say they had a natural birth. I know people say there is no medal for going med-free, but I really think they've done something special!
Having said that, I'm totally not for shaming moms who had meds or c-sections; saying they didn't really give birth or are not really a mother. Thankfully I've never heard anyone say things like that in my circle, but reading about those types of comments makes me cringe.

@smushi hahaha me too but we call it cold smoked salmon here in Nova Scotia I've heard it called Nova lox when I've been in the US but here you buy it by the pound in the grocery store it's just cold smoked salmon or sometimes "SS" if the fish monger is lazy. I swear it's just as good buying the commercial stuff locally as it is in the US. It's cheap and local so I eat it all the time!

It's usually just smoked salmon here too. There's a breakfast place called Einstein Brother's Bagels, and they have Nova Lox which is a toasted bagel with cream cheese, topped with smoked salmon, a thin slice of tomato and onion, and some capers.
I don't like my sweet potatoes/yams with marshmallows for TG dinner. I'd much rather have a plain sweet potato with butter, salt, pepper and maybe some sour cream.
DH LOVES marshmellowes sweet potatoes so we make them every year. Last year he took the leftovers and put them in a blender and made what can only be described as a baby food milk shake. He ate every last bite, I mean drop. I love how weird he can be.

Nooooooo!! I love sweet potatoes with the marshmallows! And sweet potato pie...omg...I could sit down right now with a whole sweet potato pie and a fork and murder it. I'm not proud of that.
OK, here's mine: sometimes I miss watching commercials. I feel like I'm missing out on things, and my hubby always has the remote, so I can't even take over. Because of this I never see movie trailers. (This would probably be a bigger deal if I ever saw movies, but it does still annoy me.)
