Pregnant after a Loss

Quick Question

I had a D and C on October 23rd, I should of been over 9 weeks and the baby had no heartbeat and was only measuring a little over 6 weeks.  I had my 2 week check up last Thursday and the doctor said go try again and I will see you soon.  I was like really I can try again already, she said yes no need to wait. But try to wait until after your first period, which I said great!

I wanted know if anyone got pregnant before their first period?  Got caught up in the moment the other night and after I was like crap we didn't use a condom lol.  A little TMI I know but when you have been married 3 years together for 5 you're not used to condoms any more.  I obviously don't want to have any problems with our next try because I didn't wait long enough but thought I would ask, just in case :)

Re: Quick Question

  • I had an early miscarriage on August 20th it was my second miscarriage I was told to wait at least one cycle before trying again and that is what I had planned on doing but ended up getting carried away with my husband one weekend and found out I was pregnant again on September 18th I am now 11w1d and so far so good! Good luck and sorry for your losses

  • My MIL got pregnant right away with my husband and that pregnancy obviously turned out fine. Our fertility specialist said that there's no real science to waiting. I will say that my first period was so light that I worried about my body being able to support a pregnancy yet. I had a D&C, though.
  • I had a d&c may 8 and got a positive pregnancy test June 9. I am now 26 weeks pregnant and expecting a seemingly healthy little boy February 18.
  • My rainbow baby came after two losses. My second loss I had a d&c and was pregnant two weeks later with that little rainbow. Good luck!!

  • Thank you all so much, My doctor was actually like go ahead and try now, but I was more of should I wait for my first period and she was like sure, so I feel like it didn't matter but of course do not want to mess anything up!  I know some doctors say 1-3 cycles, guess mine doesn't feel that necessary.

Sorry for your loses and congrats on new pregnancies
