How long to wait?

We just found out we were pregnant on 11/ 2 and I just had a natural miscarriage yesterday (11/6) at about 5 weeks 6 days. From start to finish it was only about 12 hours. I am still having some light bleeding now but the ER doctor said my cervix was almost closed to a normal place. We found out I had bacterial vaginosis that I didn't know I had and think that could have been was caused the m/c. He didn't say but how long should we wait to have sex? I'm planning on waiting at least a week until I am done with the antibiotic for the BV but if we are ready at that time, should I wait longer than that? I do need to call my GP to follow up with her about the m/c Monday and I could ask her then but DH and I are just thinking about it.

On a positive note I had been managing symptoms of PCOS and have had ever so slightly irregular periods so it is exciting to know that I can get pregnant. Now it is just a matter of knowing what I can do to be sure to keep the pregnancy.

Any advice?
