Dental Insurance

It's open enrollment time, as many of you know. Question: Should I get dental insurance for my 3 year old? We went for a free "happy visit" a couple months ago and everything looked fine. When do you start taking your children to the dentist regularly?

Absolutely. My son started going when he was 2 and goes for a check up and polish every 6 months. Get your LO signed up!

I think 3 is about the right age to start going regularly.

We had to go to the dentist in order to enroll my son in public preschool, so we started just before 3. I don't know how much you have to pay monthly for dental insurance, but you can always just pay out-of-pocket for cleanings too. It's not prohibitively expensive,

I would say 3-4 years is the perfect age. That's when most dentist offices starts seeing kids. I know that I took my daughter when she turned 2, and I had to pay out of pocket.
