Baby clothes

Is it recommended to wash new clothes before putting them on a newborn.

    Yes. I will admit I washed nothing with DD1 and she was fine but from what I read it's a combo of possible skin sensitivities plus the way the clothes are handled in the path to sell them (think of how many people touch them in the process).

    Yes. If you're concerned about baby growing out of clothes before they're worn then just cut the tags off a few clothes and wash them. If you can't return items then go ahead and wash the lot.
