Hey Gang- I know you are supposed to experience some hair loss after your baby is born. However, it takes me 5 minutes to pull the hair off my hands after the shower or when blow drying. It ends up getting on my daughter... Has anyone else experienced this? If yes, how long did it last?
Currently going through this. I have never had hair loss like this before, but friends have told me its totally normal. But i dont mind it too much since i have such thick hair, its almost a relief to lose a bit of it haha i am sure once our hormones are back on track things will go back to normal.
This right here is my daily struggle. My hair ends up everywhere! I had this happen when I had my DD 4 years ago. I don't remember how long it lasted though. :-( I just feel like I'm loosing waaaay more from DS. I hate it! My (super annoying, pain in the a$teroid) mother in law suggested I put onions in my shampoo... Go figure....
My twins are 23 weeks and my hair loss has just stopped this past week. If I didn't have thick hair I would look like smeegle from lord of the ring with the amount of hair I've lost. For me it started at 3 months pp. Pulling hair out of my ass crack is not my fav lol
You just made my night. My hair loss is extreme and I can see spots by the front hairline where it is thinning bad. I have been having major anxiety over this because I thought the hair loss should be over and I thought something was wrong with me. Thank you!
Just wait until it starts growing back. I had sprouts of hair all over after I lost my hair with DS. Time to break out the hair gel and head bands so I don't look like a fraggle.
@staceyfern@mamameghan I also feel like I am balding along my hairline. Right on my temples. I feel like I could be the "before picture" of a hairloss commercial. ( I have thin hair to begin with.
My LO is 18 weeks and I started losing when he was about 12-13 weeks.
Same! I find my hair everywhere!!!!!! But I talked to my hair lady and she said its normal and try moisturizer. So I have been just washing my hair with shampoo and then putting in leave in conditioner when I get out of the shower. And it's help!!!
I've decided to stop blow drying and heat styling to try to control it...I bought some leave in conditioner and since the air is dry now it typically won't get frizzy...it just means I have to leave it long instead of cutting it in a way that would make styling it necessary. Hopefully by the time the humidity returns to NC this will stop!
I do need to trim my ends but I'm afraid of losing anyone hair...my hair is kind of fine as it is. Boo.
I have baby hairs all over. Doesn't help that they're curly. I didn't notice hair loss but apparently it happened. I recently cut my hair short to try and blend it. On the other side, I haven't lost the hair growth that occurred during pregnancy. I still have a hairy belly. Not sexy!

Also I think my butt crack was just made for the purpose of hauling around all this loose hair at this point right?!?!
