So the weirdest thing happened...

I'm gonna start off with saying I am overweight and therefore I am not showing any bump yet. Only the people I told knows about the pregnancy. I was in Copenhagen a few days ago and it got too late for me to catch the train home to Sweden so I asked my best friend if I could sleep at his place. His landlady was there and she's a very nice woman. I said hi and goodnight and left the next morning very early for work. Yesterday my best friend comes to me with a note from his landlady with the number of a midwife she knows if I should need anything during my pregnancy. I asked my friend if he told her I'm pregnant and he was like no. Apparently she was able to tell I was pregnant by looking into my eyes!??? She said they were sparkling in a different way and she instantly knew I was pregnant. Has anyone experienced anything similar to this before? It was so weird and slightly freaky.

Nope but id make an appointment with her to predict what stocks to invest in! That's cool.

I actually had something like that happen to me the first week that I suspect I got pregnant...before I had even found out that we conceived. My husband and I always go to the same subway and I've made friends with the two women that work the same shift. We had just gotten married, and 2 weeks later I come in and order my food. She looks at me and says, "Are you pregnant?" and I jokingly brushed her off and told her "no, there was no way that it had happened that fast". I honestly remember getting back to work and being a little peeved that she had just said that to me. Within a week or two I started feeling exhausted, my boobs were killing me, and everything smelled terrible. I told my husband that I really thought that I was pregnant, but he was convinced that I couldn't have been.... I've been told for years that I'd have trouble conceiving because of endo. The 2nd day when I was supposed to get my period and I didn't I went down to get the test. I remember going to the bathroom, and staring in disbelief that the woman was right. She was the first person that I told after I found out the test was positive. I still don't know how she knew, but she told me she could always just sense it about woman. It's kinda freaking in a cool way though, right?

Yes, this happened with my parents' next door neighbor when I was only 5 or 6 weeks. I went over to see her grandson and she asked me if I was pregnant. I was shocked and told her I was and asked why she thought so. She told me there was something about my face & my eyes that made her think I was expecting. It was weird.

Happened with me with a lady at my church.... She asked if I was feeling well , touched her stomach and winked at me!!! I said I was feeling great just wore out from chasing our toddler around. We still haven't told our church yet so I am curious to her reaction when we do announce next week:)

Some women do have a sense about it!! I knew all three times before my sister even knew she was pregnant. I just had a feeling!

@mumistheword are you sure she wasn't just being nosy? Lol! We were at a wedding about a month after our wedding, and there were people from our community there and a couple were like "oh are you pregnant yet"? If it was "within a week or two" from your missed period, you wouldn't have even been pregnant, maybe ovulating or maybe sperm met egg but not even implanted yet.

It is freaky in a wonderful way. Funny how some women can just sense it in others. This woman was a complete stranger to me so it made it extra weird. Apparently her mom did the same thing to her when she was pregnant. It runs in the family

If it was within a week or 2 of missing your period you would definitely be pregnant...that's why you miss your period. I found out I was pregnant days before I was even supposed to get my period @NachosAndPeaches

Before I found out I was pregnant, my mom wouldn't stop staring at me lol. I felt like I had done something wrong, but she kept saying, "You're pregnant." She would literally hold me in front of her and stare into my eyes and look at me like I was hiding something lol. I didn't believe her even though I hadn't gotten my period yet at that time, but because I WAS feeling weird, I scheduled an appointment with my regular doctor to see what was up... I took a pregnancy test that morning out of curiosity, it was negative. I told the doctor this and she ran a blood test for pregnancy without my knowledge (amongst the other things I was being tested for). I got the results back in an email and my hcg levels were higher than what was considered normal.:) I was so surprised, but waited to take the at-home pee test again for two days and sure enough, that test was positive!! My husband was ecstatic while I was still in disbelief lol. My mom is one of those weird types!

This is my third pregnancy this year. My best friend has the freaky pregnancy recognition gene and she's called me out on it all three times. One time before I even POAS.

I had this happen when I was pregnant with my second. I worked in a nursing home, and an old blind woman congratulated me three days before I found out. I remember being peeved because she was kind of the worst person ever to work with- she was angry and crotchety and super racist, and I didn't want her congratulations for anything, and besides, I still didn't expect my period for a week, so she was obviously crazy. Haha. I started vomiting the next day and ended up in the hospital (the first time) to be rehydrated the day after that,which is how I found out.
So she didn't even have to see me, and she knew. Crazy pants.

I have a friend who has an uncanny ability to tell when people are pregnant. She says she can just tell by their eyes and skin. So weird.

My mom says she had a dream and knew I was pregnant, but I just think she's crazy....

A co worker of mine told me she had a dream that I was pregnant. Three or 4 days later... POAS and sure enough! She also said it was a girl in the dream so we will see if she was right about that too!

This happened a week or two before her missed period. Not after. I'm well versed in what periods are and why you do or don't get them.

This is wild! I have a friend who's husband can tell by smell. O.o He basically told me he's like a bloodhound and can tell when someone is pregnant because they smell different. He was right..
