I'm still not crystal clear on when the second trimester starts, but I'm 13+4!
Definitely feeling better. Only getting nausea every few days, now, and having more energy. I'm still dragging a bit, but am getting through the day without an afternoon nap, so yay!
I'm only 11 weeks but I'm feeling much better. Very minimal sickness and my energy is much improved. My last pregnancy, with the exception of the awkwardly growing belly I didn't feel pregnant at all during my 2nd tri. I'm hoping for the same this time too.
13w6d here, the awful nausea and puking has let up tremendously. Still have a few days where I don't feel too good, but nothing at all like before. If anything, the exhaustion has gotten worse, but this could also be because my work keeps bouncing me back and forth from afternoon shifts to midnisghts. I can't get into a routine. I'm hoping I get some energy back soon though!
14 weeks today. Still not feeling better. Still exhausted and still want to throw up. Just reading my 14 week update gets me angry because they all keep saying I should be feeling better....smh....this pregnancy is so different than it was with my DS.
13 weeks today. Technically the 1st trimester is over at 13 weeks 3 days I believe? I may be SLIGHTLY less tired, but my worst day of nausea was Monday at 12 weeks 5 days. To be fair, I've only actually thrown up 2 days (the past two Mondays) but have had a handful of days full of gagging and the rest were just all day nausea. The past two days, since actually throwing up multiple times on Monday, I have been the "best" since the earliest weeks. But every time I think I'm getting better I get worse the next day, so I'm avoiding saying its "going away" because I'll believe it when it actually happens.
Thanks for sharing updates for far. I am still vomiting about 1-3 times a day. I'm hoping there's an end in sight. I'm still tired, and nights are the worst. Food aversions, tired of being scared to eat because I dont know if it will come back up or not...ugh...not in 2nd trimester yet but surely something lets up soon. I have a hard time swallowing pills and although Diclegis is small, my gag reflex wont let me swallow it. I would crush it, which i've done a few times, but the bottle says not to crush or chew so, I will just be doing it the old fashioned way and letting this pass. Hoping it happens sooner than later.
I feel like we need a sticky of this at the top of the forum, a lot of women have misconceptions as to when the first tri ends! (Myself included at one point!)
14w4d for me. I still feel like poo, but praise the Gods I haven't gotten nausea like most women have had. I am truly sorry. I've just been so exhausted I can barely function, and I'm sleeping about fifteen hours a day, with a nap, some days. Others I can't sleep at all and I'm awake forever with insomnia. I guess it has gotten easier now that I'm not on bed rest or pelvic rest, but I'm seriously seeing pregnancy being like a tampon commercial, with a women frolicing on the beach in some white outfit. The pregnancy version of course is that damn glow you hear so much about.
13 weeks today. I know some people consider 2nd tri at 13, others at 14 weeks, but 3 months = 90-92 days = 13 weeks so I am totally calling myself second tri today hehehe. I've been anxiously waiting for this day. I have to say that I feel 95% normal now (the other 5% are dry chapped lips and constipation). Mind you I did not have a lot of symptoms during he first tri, but the little ones I did have have vanished. It does get better.
14 weeks today. I felt best around 11 or 12 weeks, but since then some indigestion and heartburn have started. Oh well, it was nice to feel good for a little while!
I started my Disney World vacation on day 1 of week 12. Between weeks 12 and 13 we walked 61.78 miles throughout the 4 parks and Downtown Disney and I was always in the lead! I've felt great this pregnancy. I've only had a few instances where I "felt pregnant" - getting bloated or feeling full fast even with that wonder Disney Dining Plan food in front of me.
I'm no marathon runner, either. I'm an average Joe. I was VERY proud of myself for making it those long days and not getting beat. I mean, we were tired each night, but slept to re-charge and went at it again the next day. I'm even more proud of my 2 year old who kept up with me, too! She went from park opening, to a good stroller nap, to the "boom booms" almost every night with very few acts of terrible two-ness. She even brought the room to tears when she sang Let it Go for Elsa and the snowman song for Anna. They couldn't believe she'd just turned 2 on September 5th!
We actually found out that baby #2 is a boy while we were at Disney last week. I stepped off the Jungle Cruise as my phone rang with my Harmony results. We had ears made for both kids and got our announcement picture made in front of the castle as the fireworks went off during the day-time castle show! I'm so ready to go back! Mickey's calling!
In Denmark we are told 2nd tri begins at week 13, so tomorrow I'll finally be in the second trimester! My nausea is almost completely gone, no vomiting and my headache is also mostly gone. My boobs don't hurt as much as before and even though I still love sleep, I feel much better than before. My appetite is still not back yet, I can't eat too much but I got into a routine of eating small portions throughout the whole day so it's been working very well. Practically living on mushroom soup and yogurt. Can't wait for the bump to start showing.
14 weeks today, definitely improved. I was taken off bedrest this past Friday, and actually went down to the gym for a little bit today! Appetite is back in full force, but nausea isn't completely gone, so that's been a challenge.
Edit: bump is definitely showing, and no matter what time I go to bed, I'm always up at 4a, then again at 8a for good. Not that I mind, but I don't have much else to do with my day besides sit around and figure out what we need to get for baby, since I'm not allowed outside due to the heat!
Re: To those in the land of 2nd trimester...
like I'm getting more energy and feeling less pukey!
