Tonsilitis at 30 weeks

Hello girls!
I had to go to the doctor yesterday because I'm sick.
He diagnosed tonsilitis and I'm really weak.
So his idea was to wait until tomorrow and then start me on antibiotics if it's not improving.
What do you think? Just suffer and wait or actually take it? He printed out some information for me that this special kind of anitbiotics is not risky when you're pregnant.
But I'm still skeptical.
Thanks for your advice.

I completely understand the hesitancy to take any medications in pregnancy. Believe me, it freaks me out. But if your OB says it's okay it probably is. Also you have to weigh, if I don't take it, is that going to be worse for baby than just taking the medicine? And yes, it would be. You'd just get sicker, run fevers, etc and those are worse for baby than the antibiotics for sure. Healthy mommy = healthy baby.

We always do a gargle, it is warm water, vinegar, salt....gargle every hour if possible but in general just do your best. That usually helps get the junk out. My OB said I could take an antibiotic with the baby before this one and we lost it, so no thanks unless super necessary.
