What are you doing to get KU: Checking CM and CP. Taking B12, Iron and Folic Acid.

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalk: So here is my rant today: this morning my temp dropped and Ovia was all "omg this is totally your fertile window! You're probably ovulating!" Okay I mean it didn't literally say exactly that but it did change from estimating my fertile window in about 20 days (since last cycle I ovulated around day 35) to my fertile window ending Oct. 1. My two highest temps so far post AF have been 97.6x  with my average being around 97.45ish and it was 97.29 this morning. No EWCM or watery CM so far. FF seems unconcerned with the temp drop so I guess that's why people like it more than Ovia. Went ahead and checked an OPK this morning and it was definitely, without a doubt negative. Realllllly faint line. Last cycle around when I O'd I got a "I'm not sure which line is darker let me squint at this awhile and try to decide if it's a positive OPK" OPK with a fainter but still fairly dark line the next night. Ugh whatever. Go home Ovia; you're drunk. #-o

GTKY: are you an introvert or extrovert? Definitely an introvert. I was that incredibly shy kid that hid behind my mother every time someone tried to talk to me. I'm functionally introverted now where I can have conversations with strangers and stuff as needed but I still definitely prefer bumming around my house being a hermit.

What are you doing to get KU: All the things, including BD everyday since cycle day 8

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalk: So I just posted this on WTO Monday's thread as a follow up, but yesterday I had an epic rant about OPKs and giving them up, because I was tired of POAS, I like to hydrate and usually I can't POAS at work during those hours. Well I'll just copy and paste below what I said on WTO Monday's thread just now

******* I TAKE IT ALL BACK***** I'm having problems lately waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to fall back asleep intermittently. So I got a temp surge today (which was FF predicted O day) but it's an open circle and I didn't know if it's a crock bc when I took the temp I had about 2.5 hrs of sleep and it was about 1hr and 40 min past my "prescribed time to temp". Anyway, I was planning on skipping OPK's bc I have been frustrated with POAS too much and not seeing anything, but I figured I'd try just one more time (got out of work early)…. well guess what… I got 2 solid OPK lines!! woohooo….. Even if you are annoyed or discouraged keep doing it. I was dehydrated today unlike previous days because I forgot to fill my water bottle. It sucks that you have to do it dehydrated and at a weird time of day, but it can help if you can. It's basically saved me from being in the dark due to my wonky temping today. So I'm taking it back I'm not giving them up if I have to try another cycle.

So excited I either O'd today, or will be O'ing tomorrow or Wednesday. DH and I need to keep on top of our BD game right now :D.  I'm feeling optimistic.

GTKY: are you an introvert or extrovert? An extrovert… who does need breaks from time to time to recharge

What are you doing to get KU: waiting for AF to leave then OPK, temping, CM, sex at least EOD during fertile week

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalk: nothing yet.  My husband says I'm a mouth breather (attractive, huh? lol) so I'm switching to temping vaginally this month...hoping that evens out the jagged peaks/valleys I've been getting on my FF charts *fingers crossed*

GTKY: are you an introvert or extrovert?  Definitely an introvert.  I've been lurking here for months lol...I do better in one-on-one or small groups

    *****question*****
I started taking Thorne Research PNVs because lab tests I found indicated that they were among the best in containing the vitamins they say they contain. However, every time I take them, I spend the rest of the day with that horrible feeling of having something stuck in your esophagus. The dosage is three pills and I thought it was because I was taking all three at once, but I took just one this morning as a test and it's still happening. Has anyone else experienced this with Thorne?

    Rants/Raves/Chart Stalk: meh.

GTKY: are you an introvert or extrovert? Introvert through and through.

What are you doing to get KU: BD EOD while AF is not around, tracking CM, CP

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalk: So I tried temping and it's not going to work out for me :( I have sleep pattern issues and wake up consistently 3-4 times per night. I rarely sleep more than an hour and a half at one time. It sounds exhausting but I'm used to it, I just wish my sleep were consistent so I can temp. Otherwise, not much of anything else going on, DH and I decided to try BD EOD throughout my cycle, I think it will help put me at ease and not wonder if we BD'd enough and will be nice for us too :)

GTKY: are you an introvert or extrovert? Definitely an introvert. I'm the kind of person that hates crowds and would rather stay home with a book rather than go to a large event.

I might still try it out and see what happens. My chart is littered with open circles due to DS wake-ups, but I still see a pattern as long as I temp at the same time. Try it for a cycle, and if it doesn't work, so be it.

I think I might just do that... doesn't hurt to try, right?

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalk: Let the BDing commence! One day down so far and...well...many to go! So far so good and I think having to schedule it is somehow a good thing for DH. FX it stays this way for as long we need- which is hopefully not long! Also, I've been trying the little OPK trick (using the Wondfo packet instead of a plastic cup) and I'm happy to say that after only 1 failed attempt, I managed to figure out the secret to pee-free hands. Score. Lol.

GTKY: are you an introvert or extrovert? Definitely an extrovert. Every time I take the Meyers-Briggs I get almost entirely E. But I do enjoy recharging time solo for sure.

What are you doing to get KU: Temping, prenatals, Metformin, CM/CP, BD EOD starting tomorrow and then ED as O approaches

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalk: So many open circles CD 1-10 and one day of not temping at all (first time I've forgotten in 9 months). I have been having troubles sleeping lately because of anxiety and so I'm getting up earlier than normal during the week and on sleeping in on the weekends. Hoping this is temporary.

GTKY: are you an introvert or extrovert? Definitely an introvert. DH is too so we are a good match. I will pick staying home with the dog any night :)
  • Month/Cycle: I went on a TTC hiatus, not that we stopped trying but stopped obsessing over charts etc. I have been trying for over a year now... I took a bump break too for the last couple of months but I am back for support as this journey is really hard.

    CD:  11

What are you doing to get KU:   Periodic charting (trying not to obsess), will do OPK's again this month as they have been successful in the past, checking CM, EOD sex etc.  Starting Zinc and B6 this month and still on prenatals.

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalk: I finally went to the doctor, my luteal phase is 10 days which the doctor said is an issue. I have only had one month where it was 15 (which she said is ideal). I also O on day 20 or 21 consistently so far which she said isn't great either but I don't know if I believe that it matters if my luteal phase increases. DH is getting tested this week probably so that will get the ball rolling then I can go see a specialist if he checks out OK.

GTKY: are you an introvert or extrovert? I can be both, more extrovert but I need lots of ME time to recharge or I become no good to anyone.

What are you doing to get KU: everything

Rant/Rave/Chart Stalk: Rough day, lost some good people at work due to lay offs. Hopefully there won't be any more but we haven't been given any guarantees. Here hoping I won't be one of the unlucky ones, that will make this whole TTC process that much harder.

GTKY: Are you an introvert or extrovert?: Definitely an introvert, I love my quiet time, maybe a little too much.

  • Month/Cycle: 7

What are you doing to get KU: PNV, temping, and will BD EOD starting next week, like CD12-13. Usually O day is around CD 19, and I'm trying to not wear DH out, but still being careful to not miss it.

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalk: Happy that DH is being very open now about his feelings about TTC. We didn't talk much about the TTC process and feelings before, besides being excited and ready for babies, and what would happen after we had a baby. But now that it's taking longer than expected, it's a very open conversation, almost daily. So helpful to be able to vent and discuss with him and you ladies too.
He started a one daily men's vitamin today after reading about vitamins and men's reproductive health. Can't hurt!

GTKY: are you an introvert or extrovert?
My job requires me to be an extrovert, but I'm always very happy to come home and do nothing but be with DH.

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalk: I was supposed to go to an IF seminar with DH today, but I came home to him sleeping and he wouldn't wake up. He finally woke up, after major prodding, too late to leave and be there on time. DH had some pressure in his nose/eyes, so I guess I'll forgive him. I'm really disappointed though. :(
