Sooo.... I've been bringing up names since week 14, when we knew we were #TeamPink. I'm 35 weeks, and we've FINALLY agreed on a name, after he's turned down about 100. [Literally, 94 names.] But now we can't agree on the spelling =(

What do you ladies think?? I know it's traditionally Amaya, but he's hellbent on something 'creative' as he calls it. Is Amiyah horrible? How about Amaiyah?

HELLPPP!!! I don't want him to try and pull a fast one on the birth certificate while my meds are wearing off, lol!

I think the name itself is creative, unique and pretty. Creative name spelling is just silly

Give her a name people can pronounce when they read it. I 100% vote Amaya. All of these options should be pronounced differently.

Amaya = Ah-my-ah
Amiyah = ah-me-yah
Amaiyah = ah-may-ah

Also, I assume you're joking about the birth certificate, but if not you should ask your doctor about not offering that packet until you're both "sober".

Ha, I was kidding about the birth certificate- but he's certainly been more of a diva about this name thing than I could have ever imagined.

I want her name to sound as it looks, and this is definitely the encouragement I needed. I must stand strong!! I will choose the proper spelling, and he will like it!!

Definitely Amaya. I think the others would lead to spelling/pronounciation issues. You don't want to have to spell your bane for people your entire life!
