How many eggs fertilized?
How many did you transfer?
Did you do ICSI or assisted hatching?
Did you get pregnant?
How many babies?
Did you do bed rest or return to normal life after embryo transfer?

**bfp mentioned...... Ivf #1 August 2015... 11 retrieved... 5 mature... 4 fertilized w Icsi... 2 made it to 5 day blasts... Transferred 1, froze the other... BFP- 6wks 2days today :-). ...... Bed rest for 2 days after retrieval, not after transfer though

Did you do bed rest or return to normal life after embryo transfer? Bed rest that day and 1 day after transfer
Any special diet? Just limited caffeine, alcohol, and tried to be sensible (for the most part!)

**16 blasts made it to freezing, so prepping for an FET later this month.....**

@swest519 oh that actually makes ur ivf odds even better! Ur in that wonderful "under 30" category :-) I had just turned 30 when I did my ivf, my doc said my age definitely worked in my favor

Hi!
We got 4 to fertilize, with assisted hatching. They were only going to transfer 3 (I was 40) but they transferred all four- I suspect cuz that 4th one was puny. Got pregnant with one who was born in November! tried to do high protein diet because of those small studies said egg quality is improved. After, no special diet. Took it easy the day of transfer (not bed rest).

How many babies? 3, one split but didn't stick around so now there are just twins in there!
Did you do bed rest or return to normal life after embryo transfer? Not best rest, but told to take it easy.
Any special diet? Besides no caffeine or alcohol I tried to eat mostly a Mediterranean type diet, but wasn't crazy about sticking to it.

Thought I would share my ivf experience as well:
43 eggs retrieved (27 mature)
16 fertilized without icsi
2 grade A day 5 blasts transferred-bfn
Diet-nothing special
We then decided to do pgs on the remaining frozen embryos and had 2 euploid embryos. Transferred them both day 6- bfp--twin boys miscarried 1 at 7 weeks
Diet for second transfer-gluten and dairy free and nothing cold for tww

@mhaack92, wow that is a lot of eggs!  And only 2 were euploid?  Sorry about your losses but congrats on your boy!  I had 26 retrieved and 17 made it to top grade blasts, transferred 1, and BFN.... my doctor told me it was probably just a bad embryo, but when I pushed for pgs he said not necessary at this time... makes me nervous!  May I ask how old you are?  I'm 31 so maybe that is why my doc isn't concerned at this point?  I would cough up the cost if it would help!  Our first FET is next week and transferring two......

I was 22 when we did the cycle (23 now). I have PCOS and a very high AMH which is why I had so many eggs. Our docs offered PGS and we weren't sure we wanted to do it because of cost, but it ended up being so worth it for us. In the future we plan to do PGS before any transfers.

@mclorn 17 making it to blasts is awesome! Hopefully you'll get your BFP next transfer.

@mhaack92 wow pgs sure was worth it for you.  I think I will push for it if this cycle is unsuccessful.  I am not sure why my doctor doesn't promote the testing.

Did you do bed rest or return to normal life after embryo transfer? Semi bed rest for a week. Just lay down and watched comedies. I read that laughter boosted bfp rates after transfer.
Any special diet? I was on a Low carb, High fat diet until morning sickness hit. Tons of eggs, butter, olive oil, avocadoes,shrimp, salmon, pork belly, chicken, cheese, cream fresh fruits and vegetables.

@Swest519 I know. It's one of the toughest things I have gone through. But so worth it. I just tried to keep busy the best I could. I wish you the best! FX for ya!

PS. The waiting truly never ends. You always end up waiting for the next thing or milestone. It's one crazy trip!

Any special diet? High protein, low carbs

How many eggs fertilized? 38 retrieved, 28 fertilized (high numbers due to PCOS)
How many did you transfer? 1 FET (denied a fresh transfer due to borderline OHSS)
Did you do ICSI or assisted hatching? ICSI
Did you get pregnant? Yes
How many babies? 1 little turkey due next week
Did you do bed rest or return to normal life after embryo transfer? The only thing I did differently was not drink. I thought the FET cycle had failed, so I continued my normal workouts and team sports
Any special diet? None, same as normal.
