Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

Test Results

Hey y'all,
So after two miscarriages in three months, I had a D&C and RPL testing. They ran tests on the fetus as well as our blood. My doctor called me today and said all results were normal. The baby had no chromosomal issues. It was a boy. I'm kinda shocked. I thought the miscarriage was most likely caused by chromosomal issues. My doctor said the only thing that may be causing the miscarriages is that I have fibroids. She is not sure if this is the problem, but they can't find anything else. Now, she says I could have surgery to remove the fibroids or just try again because it could be a fluke. The surgery would require a few weeks recovery time and they're not positive that's the problem. Has anyone ever had issues with fibroids?? I have no idea what I'm going to do...

I'm sorry I do not but just wanted to say sorry for your loss. I just had my 2nd loss and waiting for my test results. The first loss (d&c) came back normal. My dr is thinking I may have a blood clot disorder.

I think I may be in the same boat. I have my second ultrasound tomorrow after the first was inconclusive. I'm 6 weeks and had positive betas after IVF and a 3 day transfer of 2 embryos. I am devastated. I will have full confirmation tomorrow but my HCG was not as high as it should have been. My doctor said I have fibroids and that may be an issue. Updates tomorrow. Still in shock.

I have had 4 miscarriages and had the RPL testing done too. I had an HSG to check for uterine abnormalities such as fibroids and such. My fertility specialist said sometimes if you have a fibroid, it can cause implantation issues. I don't know how far along you were - but they definitely can cause issues. I fortunately didn't have anything wrong internally with my uterus or fallopian tubes. I have 2 forms of clotting disorders so I am being treated for those.

If they didn't find anything - I would go ahead and get your fibroid(s) removed just to be on the safe side, that way there is no question that, that is the issue if God forbid it happens again. And if it turns out that is an issue, then you should be safe the next time. But it's always good to cross things off of the list as you go!

Wish you the best and so sorry for your losses!
