Pumping question..

how often should I be pumping to maintain good supply? I was trying to maintain every 3hours, although it's been difficult with work.

Are you also nursing? Or exclusively pumping? I am under the impression that the breasts need to be emptied every 3-4 hours to stimulate more milk production. I am sticking to that.

I'm nursing through the night still. But yes, that's what I thought as well.

When I go back to work (teacher)....I won't be able to pump from when I feed LO at 6:45 until 11:45....I really hope that doesn't screw my supply up too bad. Then I'll be able to pump at 11:45 and 1:45 and then I'll nurse the rest of the evening and pump once overnight. Hopefully I can maintain!
