Birth control to delay start of cycle

hi there ! Just curious - does anyone's RE ever give you birth control for a week or two to delay the start of a medicated cycle to work around travel plans ? My husband and I are traveling at the end of the month and I am worried that is right when I would need my IUI done based on where I am in my cycle . I don't want to miss a whole round so wonder if REs are cool generally with using birth control to delay things slightly ? I've been on BC between cycles due to cysts ... But that was a medical reason to delay
