5 day old newborn - how long should I pump for?

I am FTM have to supplement for past 2 days since DD jaundice and lost 10% weight. Milk coming in and was told to pump as well as breastfeed and wondering how long should I pump for? If I do more than 20 min is that a problem? Is too long not enough? Is 20 min just enough to not feel engorged?

I'm in the same boat. I was told to pump on a schedule. Like cluster pumping every 30 mins (15mins pump) (15 mins rest).

To build supply, pump for a couple of minutes past the last drop.

I would pump after each feed and for a few minutes after the last drops of milk.  So if you've pumped for 10 minutes and no more milk is coming, pump a few more minutes.  If you pump for 30 minutes and the milk stops flowing, pump a few more minutes.

If you are still engorged, try breast compressions while you're pumping and massage prior to pumping.
