Burping LO while sleeping?

can a baby burp while sleeping? My baby needs to burp because it causes gas pain later for her but she is so content and I feel so bad waking her up to burp and I feel dumb waking a sleeping baby but at the same time I know I'll feel bad for her later.

Anyone else have this?

    Can you burp her while you are holding her after a feeding? That's what I always did with my babies even when they were asleep.

    I still burp while shes out during night feedings. LO doesnt even notice, she might open her eyes a little when the burp comes up and then back out.
