Babies: 0 - 3 Months

When can I introduce my little one to a bouncer?

My LO is 2 months old now and he has great head/neck control. Just wondering when he can use a bouncer or sit in a walker.

Re: When can I introduce my little one to a bouncer?

  • When he can sit up unassisted. It's hard on their bodies and muscles to be upright in a toy like that when they aren't ready.
  • Like a bouncer chair? Or a jumper? Bouncer chair where there is head and neck support they can use once they have some head/neck control, so now would be fine, but a jumper you need to wait until he can sit up unassisted. So 5-6 months old. I think I started putting my LO in the jumper when he was about 4 months old but only for 10 minute intervals and he didn't do much in it. By 5 months old he was sitting up unassisted and LOVED it.

  • I had my son in a bouncer chair the day we brought him home.
