Hi everyone. Today has been extremely tough. I went for my 20 week anatomy scan today and babies were perfect in size in every possible way. Then the ultrasound tech brought in the doctors, yes, 2 of them, who told me our daughter has a lung abnormality. They are not 100% positive of what it is but the 2 things I listed in the title is what they are leaning towards. I saw the picture of her normal lung compared to the abnormal one and it is very apparent. It is collecting fluid and not draining. I am still breathing for them but it could cause problems when she is born. I know absolutely nothing about these conditions and have never heard of them so of course I am on google driving myself bonkers. I couldn't even stay at work today because any time anyone would ask how my appointment went I would start crying. So, I am home now.
If any of you know anything about these or have experience with them please share. I have my MRI in 2 weeks but this is going to be a long 2 weeks. The doctors told me not to stress because it's the last thing I need but what parent wouldn't stress over being told this news. I really just want to know exactly what it is our little girl has and what we need to do to fix it.Of course I'm thinking it's something I've done wrong whether it's something I did or did't do although the doctor's told me it wasn't anything I did at all.
Oh, sweetie, I'm so sorry you are going through this. I don't know anything about these conditions but wanted you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
