We are thinking of making this baby girl Emmarie (Emery)

emery is a trendy name that will date your child to this very specific point in time. It's basically a surname, and because EM names are so popular for girls, people are looking for unique or different ones. But it's not an actual name in my opinion. Emmarie is even worse, because with out the typical spelling of the name, your child will go through life having to constantly correct people who mispronounce or misspell her name. Personally, it's a no for me.

Plus, when I hear the name emery I just think of nail files and it makes me cringe.

Emmarie- not good.
Emery/Emory- not my favorite but not the worst. Trendy but I do agree it sounds nice.

Emmarie just looks so childish and a little trashy.

I don't care for the name myself. I also discourage misspelled names. I really like the suggestion of Annmarie. I think it's a nice name that ages well.
