I am BF our LO and he doesn't have teeth yet but drools and sticks everything in his mouth and sucks his fingers.
How is it like to breast feed when the teeth come in??? Mommies would appreciate advice and experiences. I heard the bites are extremely painful and you can bleed!?! Is this true? I am sorta terrified!!!
It isn't too bad. They may test the waters & bite, but just break the latch & firmly say "no." My DD2 bit me maybe twice. I never bled. I had more of a problem with her turning her head & biting my bicep. It usually left a mouth shaped bruise.
ETA: The handout we got at the doctors office for the 4 month visit said babies this age drool & chew hands but it isn't necessarily teething related. You may still have a fair amount of time before you really need to worry.
