Elizabeth Dianne.
Last name Stephenson.
My grandmothers middle name is Dianne and I really love it. I really like that there are alternatives to the name Elizabeth and that she will be able to choose whatever name she would like to go by.
BUT the father hates it. He says it sounds like a brat name or an old lady.

Elizabeth is beautiful and classic, but I don't think it's fair to use a name if the dad really hates it. There has to be some compromise. What other names are on your list and what has the father suggested?

With the way you worded it I am thinking that you and baby's father may not be together or something? If daddy isn't going to be in your baby's life or anything then I would name her whatever you want.

Lose Elizabeth, keep Dianne due to the sentiment. There are plenty of names with more than one nickname. Ex- Penelope. She could go by Penelope, Penny, Nelly, etc. Keep looking for a fn.
