Within the first week (or 2) consider taking yourself and baby to the chiropractor. Baby has to go through labor and pushing with you, so it will feel great for you both!
We did this with our first, and both of us slept real good that night. Our chiropractor specializes in prenatal and infant care, and was really gentle.
Agreed!!! If your baby is especially gassy, not feeding well, or colicky, an adjustment could be the thing that helps! Birth is such an extreme physical experience for yours and baby's body, an alignment could be just the thing for both of you. I'll be at my chiropractor within the first week. Great advice!!!
I have to check and see if my insurance covers chiropractic care at all, and if so, I definitely will try this. I've even heard chiro can help with reflux and spitting up - if only that had been an option with DS!
My chiro charges $50/visit for uninsured (my co-pay is $52, go figure!) so some are pretty reasonable if you ask around! Definitely worth it after such a physical experience.
Yea mine is $50 a visit if cash but my insurance covered first 20 visits per year so it's only about $8/visit after the insurance 80% coverage. I go every couple weeks. If I surpass my 20 visits prior to birth I will at least go one time after and pay. Prob will be worth it.
