Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

Tests

Well I just got ALL of the Recurring Miscarriage Tests done this morning. Now it's a waiting game to get the results. How long did everyones tests take to come back? I'm so nervous. This is going to be a long couple of weeks. What were some outcomes of your tests? Did they find anything?Β

Re: Tests

  • My doc told me it would be 4-6 weeks for the blood work. I have an appointment on the books for sept 16th but I'm hoping when I go in for my SIS they will be back and we can go over them then. But I can't schedule the SIS until AF comes back. Ugh. so much waiting.

Did you do genetic testing too or just clotting/immune panels? We are waiting for genetic tests until we get our first round back.

Lets hope we can find something that satisfactorily distracts us until our tests results comes back so the wait doesn't seem as long.

  • @ceclarlinetlo I got the genetic testing done as well. That's the first round I did last thursday and this morning was everything else. On tues I also go in to get an xray of my uterus. fun fun. My husband also has to go get his testing done as well, and he is making appts tomorrow to do that next week.Β

Β  Β It sucks because I really wanted to try again this month but it's just best to be patient and wait to see if they find anything.Β

    What is SIS?

I have a few weekends booked so between my weekends being busy and work, I should be pretty distracted. But you know it will always be in the back of your mind!! Just waiting for that call...

  • It's a saline infused sonogram where they will put saline into my uterus during an ultrasound to check for things like polyps and fibroids that can harm implantation.

It's great that you were able to knock so many tests out at once - we have to wait on DH because I've got great insurance through work but his is the school and it's not so great.

I hope you get some answers!

  • @ceclarlinetlo Β Ahh...I am just wrapping up my period so that is why I had to wait until tues to get my xray. But yeah I am glad too, I really just wanted to get everything done with so we can just move on with whatever it is we need to do! I'm 36 and don't have time to kill anymore! haha

  • @kickassi78 I found the PM you sent me a few days ago and I responded to it.

I am surprised that there is no alert mechanism for when there are new messages waiting - it had been a few days since you sent it - didn't want you to think I ignored you :)
