Heartbeat app???

so I just discovered an iPhone app that will let you hear your baby's heartbeat wth just your phone. It's $4.99 but the reviews look good, have any of you tried this? I know it's a little early at 6 weeks to find the heartbeat but I'm thinking more for later on it would be great to hear heartbeat anytime we wanted at home!!! Please share your thoughts and experience: thank you!!

Re: Heartbeat app???

  • I just can't see how that'd work. Now I have to google.

  • What's the app called?
I've heard of this but have been skeptical. Does it say at how many weeks it starts to work?
  • Loading the player...
  • I would assume quite. The blog I read said she used it starting at 21 weeks.

  • I tried it with DS. It never worked for me. Big waste of money!

  • I was going to say something about how at 21 weeks most people can feel their baby moving so you get reassurance that way... But when baby is sleeping and not moving, I could see myself whipping out this app just to check in :-t
  • I feel like these apps were a thing when I was pregnant with DS. I also feel like preople said that the heartbeats were just simulations. Maybe not? Or maybe they have improved? I guess I don't see how logistically they can give the true audio of the HB.

If I remember correctly, it is pretty inexpensive to rent /buy real dopplers.
  • Sono line B is honestly the way to go. I picked up DDs from 7.5 weeks.
