Help, can you have a mc and hcg still go up?

So a little back story I have two healthy children and we were ttc our 3rd. I got pregnant end of may and had a MC on 6/22. Hcg with that pregnancy never got above 43 and a week after bleeding my levels were below 2. Never got AF and took a test on 7/24 and it was +. But I had red bleeding and cramps and clots on the 7/26 my hcg was 27 on 7/27 then on 8/3 they were 187. I have been taking the clearblue weeks estimator test. Its been at "pregnant 2-3" for about a week now, well this morning the test said 1-2 weeks. I'm so upset! Is it possible that I had a mc on 7/27 but my hcg still went up? My doctors office said they had no clue what the bleeding was but since my hcg was going up to not worry about it. I'm so confused and i just dont get it. Any advice or if you went through something similar and dont mind sharing that would be great.

I don't have any advice but fingers crossed that everything is fine!

Hmm that's weird. When I found out I was miscarrying, my hcg was at 31,000 and continued to rise (although not as quickly as it should have). Basically, my body still thought it was pregnant even though the embryo never developed. A similar thing could be happening to you? Might want to give your doctor a call.

Thanks. I did end up having a MC. I went to the ER on Sat because i had shoulder pain and some very light cramps that would come and go. My hcg went down to 87. The ob there seemed to think the bleeding/ cramps and passing clots i had on 7/26 was the mc and i had a little bt of tissue left for my hcg to go up. Its going down now and i have had light bleeding for a few days now. This just really sucks, my 2nd mc in a row. Were going to take a few months off and then try again.
