Hi everyone! DH and I have 2 names as contenders right now for our little girl. Ann was the name of both of our grandma's. Our last name is a single syllable, which makes it difficult. Other first name suggestions welcome and appreciated! We'd like to have a few names picked out when she's born and decide when we meet her.

How are you pronouncing Lila? When I look at it, I pronounce it like Lyla. If that's how you will say it then I prefer Lila to Emilia.

I love Lila because of how simple and pretty it sounds. I'm thinking of Kaia for my baby girl. Emilia is also a soft, pretty name. Either way, your baby girl is going to have a beautiful name.

Yes, it will be pronounced Lyla. We haven't decided in the spelling yet

Stick with the Lila spelling, that's the correct way and looks way better IMO

They are both very pretty names and I would spell it Lila. The only thing about them is the vowel sound at the end followed by the vowel sound of Ann. It's not a big deal, just something that struck me as I said the names in my head.
