ovidrel trigger shot

What should I avoid after ovidrel trigger shot?

Re: ovidrel trigger shot

  • Sperm.

Unless you want to get pregnant.  Then get lots of sperm.

But seriously, I haven't experience much in the way of side effects.  The next day, I have felt some fatigue and nausea, but not a lot.  The shot gives you a little does of pregnancy hormones, so it's normal to experience some pregnancy symptoms.

The shot can increase your risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome.  If you develop abdominal pain or vomiting, call your doctor.
Me- 39 (turning 40 in April), TTC for the first time ever (since Jan 2015), low ovarian reserve
Married 3/14/14 to my wonderful wife, but her sperm count is rather low
TTC with frozen donor sperm and science

    7 IUIs, 7 BFNs.
2 IVF attempts, both cancelled and converted to IUI, both BFNs.
Decided that my tired old ovaries are ready to retire.
Next step- reciprocal IVF, using my wife's eggs, my uterus!
fresh 5 day transfer (2 embryos) 4/17/17- BFP!
Identical twins "due" 1/2/17 (but anticipated arrival sometime December)

  • My ovaries hurt a lot for two days after the IUI. But besides that I felt normal.

  • You don't need to avoid anything. I had zero side effects from it except I can still feel the injection site, 5 months later.
  • @Wicked4589 wow! Did you talk to your doctor about that? I didn't even feel it the next day. Why does it still bother you?
  • I took mine last night and today the only thing I'm feeling is soreness at the injection site but I remember last cycle feeling the same thing for like 5 days
    Me: 40
    TTC #1: 3 years
    Me: Type II Diabetic
    Started with RE 11/2014
Going through IUI with Donor Sperm

  • I can mostly just feel the spot when I run. Almost like a nerve was hit.
