We have a video monitor and we perched it on the corner of the crib looking down into it. But our crib has a wide top to it, and was against the changing table, so I was able to kinda lean it against that, too. Hard to explain, and you'd think it would fall in, but it never did.
I hung a few shelves on the wall around the crib and sat the monitor on one of the shelves. Just going to let it run from batteries instead of having the cord run across the wall.
