Trying to Get Pregnant

Clomid + Trigger Shot + IUI

Anyone else just finish this process? I finished my 2nd IUI (1st time to try but 2nd day to do IUI). Did clomid day CD3-7, trigger shot CD14, IUI 1 on CD15 and IUI 2 on CD16. Test day is 8/10.

Share experiences? That trigger shot was painful for me and felt like I was punched in the stomach. DH was also not super cooperative with the collections- DH hated it.

Background on me:
35 yrs
Been married for 6 years and have been trying since day 1 of marriage, but not very hard. I tried to get in BMS, but DH hated the pressure so it wasn't always easy. We both have busy careers also, so i'm sure they played into it.
No fertility issues for either of us.

Married: 8/29/2009
TTC- since we got married (off and on)
TTC with focus: Since July 2015
Currently had 2 rounds of failed IUIs, failed TI monitored cycle
December 2015: Starting 1st IVF cycle
January 2016: Retrieval
March 2016: Pending Transfer (I have 3 PGS tested embryos waiting for a womb)
April 2016: BFP, the old fashioned way.

    Hello and welcome.

    What's BMS?

I cancelled our first cycle because we had 4 follies. On our second, I had 2 follies and 27 million sperm after wash, I got a bfp and he's three now.
    What were your counts?
    My TTC History:
    2009: missed miscarriage #1 at 9 weeks (trisomy 16)
    2010: Infertility
2011: Diagnosis and treatment (low sperm count, anastrozole for DH, clomid for me + IUI)
    2012: Baby #1
    2014: Baby #2
October 2015: missed miscarriage #2 at 11 weeks (trisomy 22)
    March 2016 BFP#5, due November 2016.

With all the posts I have read, I definitely wanted to ask about how many follies because over 4 could be to many.  RE didn't tell me though.  He said he would know if I got pregnant.  He just said everything looked really good....

That's pretty weird. "You would know if you got pregnant". WTH does that even mean? What if you get pregnant with high order multiples?

RE also didn't give me a sperm count.  He said it was at 80%.  Do you know what that means?

    Maybe 80% motility?
You could call the nurse and get a better explanation.

They've been trying 6 years. The diagnosis must be "unexplained infertility"

Nothing has been found as to why I coud not get pregnant, although my DH motility was borderline,  and I have always ovulated regularly.   Clomid can also work by just stimulating an increase in the amount of hormones that support the growth and release of a mature egg to get you ready for IUI.

It does look like you were right.  The 80% was referring to motility.  Anything above 50% is good.  RE put DH on supplements to help and apparently it worked.

**When motility is greater than 50 percent, the per-cycle pregnancy rate is 11.6 percent
