After 106 days in the NICU baby Christian is finally home! This journey has been very emotional. When he was born at 23 weeks doctor's only gave him a 20% chance of survival among other not so favorable statistics. My son, like his mother, is a fighter! I know how blessed we are for our son to be doing so well. He is 38wks2ds and weighs 5lbs 9 ounces ( 1lb 6 ounces at birth). Thank you all for your prayers, thoughts, well wishes, and check-ins. You made me still feel welcomed even though I felt like I couldn't contribute as much because my pregnancy was over just after the half way mark.

Even though they will probably never see this, a special thank-you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Hutzel NICU in Detroit, MI who cared for my son and made us feel like family. We'll miss you!
