Hubs and I decided to be team green but to let my best friend find out what it was so that we could still have all of the fun stuff ready as soon as he or she came. I over heard a convo she was having in office earlier today and she let it slip what we were having. I'm super stoked for knowing now but I am so disappointed that we made it so long without knowing and this is how I found out. I want so bad to talk to some one abound it but I can't! I don't want to let my hubs know because I don't want to take away from his excitement but inside I am screaming. I have such a mixed bag of emotions right now. Please don't flame me, I know there are much bigger things to be upset about. :-/

That sucks to go this long and then find out. My husband wanted to try and wait but he was losing his mind by week 16 to find out. Sorry again, but I wouldn't let him know that you know!!

Oh man, I'd be bummed too. Sorry the surprise was accidently spoiled this late in the game. Cup half full - make a friendly wager with DH about sex of baby? Say $100 and foot rubs for a month?

Sorry to hear that's how you found out! Is your husband aware that you know? Maybe telling him and giving him the option of knowing now, will work out for the better. I can't imagine finding out and not being able to share it w him. Maybe he'll be excited to know now too and you can share the excitement together! Good luck!

It's a girl! It's what my husband really wanted so I don't want to ruin the surprise for him. We have been daydreaming about the moment he would get to tell me what it was so I don't want to take that from him. I pretended I didn't hear my friend hear it because I didn't want her to feel bad. This is rough! :-) thank you ladies for being great.

Sorry you found out that way! DH and I couldn't find out until almost 30 weeks, so we almost just gave up and went team green ourselves. We do not possess the willpower that you do, though.

We were team green with our first but my mom got to find out. She was going to send us a box to take to the hospital so we were a little prepared. She told a bunch of people, one being my grandfather. My grandfather was dying of pancreatic cancer. I was 32 weeks when we went to see him before he died and he said "how's my great grandaughter?" My husband and I were bummed but excited. At least he was the one that spoiled the beans. He died 4 weeks before she was born. Her birth was still so special. This time I had to find out. We want at least one more and no one will be finding out that gender.
