When I was little I loved the name Gabby. That was always my pretend-play name... For my own future children I liked Rylie, Lilly, and Boyd. No more.... My style has definitely changed to appreciate the classics and not complicate names unnecessarily...

Rivka and Klaus. Rivka from the Devil's Arithmetic. Klaus was the bus driver we had on a trip to Europe and for some reason I really dug the name.

Mine was Emily and I gave the name to #1 :)

My best friend in middle school and I swore we would both have daughters names varsity. Don't judge.... Hahaha we were like 11. I feel so dumb lol. I loved Genevieve and Olivia when I was like 8

Haha my friend at school had the same issue with 'Labia' @Sematti

I used to pretend my dolls were triplets and I would name them Christopher, Christina, and Christy, or Alexandra, Alex and Alexis. Because I was super creative, apparently. I also used to rename my dolls. I had one named Mary and I decided Mari (Mar-ee) was a better name.

In high school, I was going to go to court to have the spelling of my name changed from Amy, to Aymee. ::side-eye::

The names that I loved were:
    Malachi
    Jordyn (for a girl)
    Hayden
    Kaia
    Austin
    Tatum

I don't think my high school list, is as bad as my list when I first got pregnant when I was 27. Thankfully, there were many revisions on my name list. They started out trendy, cr8tive and youneek.....and ended with names that were real, just further on the SSA list.

I am not judging you at all.........

I name all of my daughter's stuffed animals my guilty pleasure names, and other names that I know my husband will never go for. So she has like 30 stuff animals, that are all names that I love, and she calls them all by name. But I named her lovie the boy name that my husband is dying to use (I am not a fan of it), just so he can never use it because it is her lovie's name. HAHA!

My favourite names as a kid were Aurora and Titus.

They're still on the list, tbh. My mother in law can't even begin to pronounce Aurora. And my husband thinks Titus sounds like "Tight Ass"

So... they're on the list but probably will get voted off the island.

When i was REALLY little (7ish) I liked Bonnie and Nicholas. I renamed my kindergarten boyfriend Nicholas because it was "better".

I am married to a NIcholas now. Which is sort of funny since I call him Nicky.

When I was in elementary school I was completely in love with the names Mallory and Jack... Both for a girl. Yikes. I didn't know anyone with either of those names by the way. I was just a weird kid.

Ever since I was in middle school I knew I would name my son Xadrian. Now that's my sons middle name. Grandparents couldn't pronounce. (English isn't their first language) but now that we're having another boy I can't think of anything because I like names that are different but no one else does. The struggle is real. lol

My Cabbage patch dolls were Bethany and Elizabeth (named by me).  One of them had the name Olivia before I renamed her, not sure what the other one's name was.  I also liked Carissa.

For boys, I liked J names: Jason, Justin, Jacob, etc.

When I was really really little, I told everyone that I would have 3 girls: twins Ellie and Nellie, and the 3rd would be "Little" Annie. My mom said I saw/heard those names in a book or tv show somewhere...

Later on it was James (I love the nn Jamie) and Ava. James is still in the running, but my SIL's younger daughter is Ava, so that's off my list now...

This is embarrassing. When I was young I wanted to name a son Dakota.

I grew into quite a traditionalist, place names make me cringe. :-&

I was obsessed with the name Darcy when I was in elementary school. In high school babysat this girl and her middle name was McKenna and I thought that was the prettiest name ever and was set on naming a girl that. In college I then moved on to Riley, Skylar and Kale for names.

Haha my SIL is Tippi. (But it's a nn)

In middle school I wanted to name a girl Madison or Isabelle and definitely wanted Trent for a boy.
In high school I wanted to name a boy Lucas because that was the last name of a guy I had a crush on. (weird logic, I know) But I watch Pretty Little Liars and that ruined the name Lucas for me.
