Non-beach east coast babymoon

Anyone have good recommendations for a non beach babymoon on the east coast? We've done DC, Asheville, Savannah, and Charleston and want somewhere new that won't be a million degrees in mid August.

We are doing Montreal, CA for 3-4 days to get away from the heat. Temp is in high 70s during day and 60s at night.

Believe me I know! Knoxville is so humid it's miserable!

I'm headed to Maine for most of the month of August before I'm back in classes. I'm super excited. I love Maine & seafood (only the pregnancy approved seafood currently of course :). )

::::lurking::: I was going to suggest Savannah when I read your post title, but now I see you're going in August.  I second Maine!  Eat all the seafood!  Yum!

Don't come here (Savannah) in mid August. It's hot as balls. What about Toronto (hit up Niagara Falls too) or New England (Boston, the cape, Maine)?

Umm in Boston right now it's about 95 with humidity. With New England weather you can never be sure of the weather. It's definitely normally cooler in Maine.

@zaverimegha We are leaving Connecticut on the 10th and driving there as well. Please let me know if you do anything or eat somewhere you recommend. Very excited. Have a great trip.

Another vote for Montreal! We went last summer and had a great time. If you're looking to get out of the city, we also did a couple days in Mont Tremblant. It was amazing and relaxing... Just take bug spray!

What about NYC? So much to do and see there. You can escape the heat by touring some museums or by seeing a Broadway show. Plus lots of great food :-)

Hello, from Maine here. Definitely a lot cooler than down south, but it was in the 90s today with high humidity. That being said, usually July is our hottest month and it should be cooler come August but there is no guarantee. :-) If you stay near the Portland area there is so much to do! Visiting the islands, lots of restaurants, museums and entertainment, short drives to the mountains for hiking. If you do come to maine stay near the coast as the sea breeze makes it usually 5-10 degrees cooler than inland.

I'm in NYC and I would say do not come here. The city is f'ing unbearable and the subway stations are not air conditioned. You can do a lot indoors but you'll be paying for it. I second northern New England (Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire). It's gorgeous with lots of great food, breweries, hiking, boating, culture.

I live in Boston and while I always tell people to come here August will quite likely be brutally hot. Maine and NH are great options! NYC would also be great, lots of indoor activities to keep cool
