I can't go through a day without being in so much pain with my legs & feet. And even me trying to elevate and give them some rest doesn't seem to work. Any other ideas? I also don't want to take any meds
Are you on your feet all day? I feel the same way. Some days I even feel like my hands and feet are swollen when I wake up in the morning. The only thing I have really found that helps my feet besides time off of them is a bath.
Yes a good majority of the day I am on my feet. But I find even on days I'm not really on them, pain is still there. It stinks! I feel like I can't get anything done because of it haha
Drink plenty of water, eat less salt. I haven't had ongoing problems w swelling, but last weekend at the beach, my feet were swollen just about the whole time with the combo of the heat, bad food choices, and consuming less water than usual. If nothing seems to work, talk to your doc.
My midwife suggested wearing compression socks while at work, because I'm on my feet, too. I haven't had the need for it yet, but I already have a pair for when I do!
Second on the compression socks. My second was the only one so far that I swelled and that is what my midwife suggested to me to. By the time I got around to looking for some it was so close to my due date I didn't want to spend the money on them. But it would be totally worth it this early on!
My feet stay swollen, I'm always on them though. By the end of the day they feel huge. I don't think that it becomes a problem unless it is sudden or swollen to the extent it hurts to walk. Just bring it up to your doc
FTM here and I spend my workday mostly sitting and my feet still get a little swollen. Im trying to cut back on salt even though i dont really feel like I eat salty stuff. I wish my mom would stop bringing it up and scaring me about it.

Get something to prop them up. It helps a lot.
I use an empty box of copy paper. It helps when I remember to use it.
If there's something strange underneath the hood. Who you gonna call? Your Doctor. If there's something weird and it don't look good. Who you gonna call? Your Doctor. Immediately. If it's new, painful, and possibly pregnancy related get your ass off the internet and call your doctor. It's for your health and your child's.

I bought a padded round ottoman from Target. It feels great!
I've heard to take a warm bath in Epsom salt helps. as well as lemon infused water and cucumber infused water. I haven't had to try any of these remedies out yet, but many women swear by them.

I've been doing the Epsom salt bath. I enjoy it very much, but it hasn't helped my swelling noticeably. (Just moved and got access to a bathtub this past week. I've been in it almost every night. lol.)

I had major swelling with my first pregnancy and I am a teacher so I was on my feet all day which didn't help. I bought some cold compresses and put them on my ankles as soon as I got home everyday. They were great because they were flexible which allowed them to drape on my ankles, they were made of fabric which made them comfortable and not too cold on my skin, and they didn't sweat. It was heavenly and I looked forward to it each day. I haven't had much swelling yet this time around but my cold compresses are in the freezer ready to go for when that day comes.
I find doing foot stretches and ankle rolls in the morning help my feet feel extra yummy. Maybe doing little movements with them throughout the day to increase circulation?
Re: Legs/Feet SO SWOLLEN
If I stand or sit with out elevating the tops of my feet swell in about 45 minutes. It goes away with elevation quickly though.
I would mention it at your next appointment and see if your doctor has any recommendations to help too.
