Okay...wEiRd question, but I have to know!!

my breasts definitely have colostrum. They have since like 3 months ago. I'm 37 weeks today. So I squeezed a little out and tasted a little drop of it!! I just wanna know...are any of you guilty of the same thing? It was so strange but I can't be the only one!

And it's so weird that people are so grossed out by it. We'd rather drink breastmilk from a fat cow than taste something made from our own bodies? It ain't so bad yall. Plus are you willing to feed your child something you wouldn't ingest yourself? Idk, some food for thought I suppose

I have! I'm a weirdo. To me it didn't really have much taste. My mom said when your milk comes in it is much sweeter.

At our breastfeeding class the LC told us that the first couple of days your colostrum taste similar to your amniotic fluid. I'm guessing this is because baby is use to amino fluid. I would love the meet the researchers who tasted and tested this theory lol.

I tried my milk and it was like sweetened milk with honey. Even my DD poop smelled like it. Kid you not. Once she got on the formula her poop started to smell.

Admittedly, I laughed a little too hard at this one. I was reminded that shortly after DS was born my hubby squeezed my beasts and got squirted hard in the face at close range...I too laughed really hard, it took him a little longer to find the humor in it.

I never did try my breastfeeding milk though, I understand the curiosity...I guess I just never got that curious myself.

My husband is creeped out by colostrum, but he has admitted that he wouldn't be afraid to try breast milk...:/ I, on the other hand, will definitely pass. And I haven't leaked anything yet, thank goodness.

I've never tried either, but DH is admittedly a Breast man and after DD#1 was born, we were getting busy and he he got a mouthful on accident. He liked the breast milk. This time around he ended up getting colostrum the other night and said given the choice, he definitely prefers breast milk. Lol! Weirdo of mine!!

I am trying to keep that liquid gold reserved for little man so I don't squeeze to manipulate it to come out. I won't taste it because I have never been into tasting my own bodily fluid. I won't even kiss my husband after he has ventured "certain places" during "certain times." Not grossed out, just not at all interested in tasting myself. No prude

I tasted my colostrum why the heck not it tasted a little like butter. Not sure I'll taste my breast milk though, I'll probably be to busy to remember to try it and I'm just not very curious tbh. Though when I was a kid and my mom was pregnant with my siblings I used to beg her to let me try some as she told me it was chocolate and strawberry milk! She never did FYI lol

Your breasts can get infected from squeezing the milk out when it hasn't come in yet
